Holiday Chateau McKinney

Made many new friends since moving here. Age of residences varies from mid 60's to 100+. Enjoy this location as there is a good mix of single and married couples. From my view there are 50+ men out of the 200 residents. Facility recently went through a total renovation. Apartments have full kitchens, and space for full size washers and dryers.

We located this facility for my sister who’s lost her house to a fire. She was initially going to move into an apartment. I convinced her to visit Holiday Chateau and another property. When she realized all the amenities offered and how much stress it would remove from her life, she agreed to give it a try. She chose Holiday Chateau over the other property due to its location, newly renovated apartment and pleasant staff. She has now decided to rebuild her home and sell it, as she plans to remain at HC. She enjoys the friends she has made at HC as well.

The chateau is a great place to live. The staff takes care of us and prints wonderworld for me everyday! I really enjoy living here.

I feel like I have support right in the building. This is my home, I don't feel alone anymore. I feel confident to be independent now. I am very grateful to be here and it makes me want to cry! My family also feels I am safe and a blessing to them, too, that I found this place!

There needs to be 10's and that wouldn't be enough, The Chateau is my home and I love the people and staff here. It's family. The amenities are perfect. I can't recommend the Chateau more! I'm very thankful for my home here.

Life here has been positive, mostly because of the nice people. Life here allows the freedom to relax and enjoy many different activities. The pool is and surrounding areas is beautiful and the grounds are very well maintained. There is a small rude clique of women here who are very negative about this community and I just avoid them. Our meals are overall good.

I have lived at the Chateau McKinney for 2 1/2 years, The staff is friendly and helpful in all categories. The residents are friendly and I get along with all them. The activities are available if you would like to join.

Casual, comfortable atmosphere. Everyone very friendly. Cafeteria clean & staff accommodating & courteous. Rooms & patios nicely spaced. Like the fact of a tablet in each apartment. Also like that a medical alert necklace is provided for each tenant. [name removed] very friendly & spent a lot of time interviewing me & giving a tour of the facility.

Lovely People who Work Here!! The Cleaning Service People are Fantastic!!! The Building Service Team is Wonderful! But poor [name removed] Needs a Halper!!!! He's doing it all BY HIMSELF NOW, as [name removed] Quit while [name removed] was on Vacation.... All the Front Staff are Fantastic!! Very Kind and Helpful!!! Can't believe they Remember all Our Names!! Crazy!!!!! Love Being Here! And a Great Value for the money!! Thanks for Letting me Live Here!

A wonderful, friendly community. Very beautiful landscaping and delicious food. A lot of activities that are attended by many residents. So much fun at different games. I love it here!

My Mom moved to TX from CT. Holiday Chateau staff during touring, Q&A, contracting were very helpful. Never felt pushed or needed to make a hasty decision. After Mim has lived there 2 months The facility is great, super clean, staff is on top of things, when she moved in had issue with dishwasher, they exchanged the next day. The room was super clean on moving day.

No place is perfect, but we learn to wherever we must "live." I have made many new friends here, participate in Bible Study, exercise class 4 times a week (including water aerobics), and crafts. The point is "I live".

I love every thing. I have cleaning every week. The staff all know our names and names and the staff that serve us not only know our names but our preferences. They care about us. The food is wonderful, and we have 4 choices for each meal. We have games every day, plus we have bus trips to places to have fun and we go to places. It is rather expensive, but if you look at what you get from the money, I think it is responsible

He doesn't really have a caregiver from them but the main elevator has been down for weeks so not sure where to rate that down so marked that low as care for the facility and residents needing that repaired more quickly. Wi-fi seems to go down as well. Otherwise, he's getting a good deal on a pretty good situation there overall. His particular apartment was discounted for a very competitive rate.

My loved one is very happy, and that's all that counts.

The staff and housekeeping at Holiday The Chateau are great. Communication and requests sometimes run a little slow, but eventually get completed. My mom enjoys the food for the most part; but I'm thankful that she has her own full kitchen for when she's not liking the menu choices. I would highly recommend Holiday The Chateau. Overall, it is a definite 5-star place.

We selected Sunrise in Frisco for my husband's mother. She is happy and we don't have any complaints about the process or the facility. We would speak highly of the process, and facility only concern is the cost. In today's world it is outrageous the amount one pays. We pay it, as it saves our mental health. She loves it there!! Speaks highly of Sunrise.

This community has provided my mother with abundant social interactions, an updated apartment with an attached garage, amenities in a convenient location, and attentive staff who oversee the facility with attention to detail and responsiveness to requests.

Compared to the last place that my loved one just moved from, Holiday The Chateau is very short staffed and the office personnel seem to have a hard time just completing their base job duties. I don't think they mean to not be helpful, but it's been hard to get needed assistance at times. Also, the dining hall has very limited eating times and the elderly residents have to wait in line and wait for the dining hall to open. If you're late getting there, you're just out of luck. They block the entrances to indicate no more service, even though people are still eating and there is open seating available. Excessive waiting in line to eat for the elderly is hard on them.
