Response from Harbour Pointe Senior Living
September 6, 2024Thank you for your review. We're thrilled you enjoyed your time at Harbour Pointe.
My husband was in Harbour Pointe memory care for a total of 3 weeks, the first 2 weeks with 24hr care paid by me. He was supposed to be ok to be cared for by staff according to [name removed] (useless nurse) so I left him 1 week without private nursing and he fell, aspirated and lay on floor nobody knows how long. He lost his life due to this and the fact that he had pneumonia and the nurse [name removed] friend didn’t have enough experience to detect it. He had dirty clothes on every day when I got there and food on his Face. I have to live with the fact I trusted this place with him. I hope after reading this you do your research and find a different place for your loved ones. There have been citations against this place more than once.

Friendly staff. Poor food and on occasion too long to respond to help monitor.

March 12, 2024Thanks for providing your feedback on our community. We regret to hear that your experience was not all you'd hoped for, but we're pleased to say that we're now under new management. Please send your contact details to info@seniorservicesofamerica.com if you'd like to speak to a member of our senior operations team about your experience.
Avoid at all costs, there is no care being given or activities that happen in memory care. We picked this community because it was closer to my home.

Our family had an in person tour with Harbour Pointe Senior Living and it was lovely and the people we met with were nice. However it was more of an assisted living environment and not enough hands on care as needed for our loved one.
Response from Harbour Pointe Senior Living
September 30, 2023Thank you for taking the time to let us know how we did. We're glad you enjoyed your time at Harbour Pointe. We hope to be of service again in the future.
There was a management change earlier this year and it seemed like they were making some changes to add more variety to the activities. The apartment was very nice, large and comfortable. The overall facility was nice but the communication was not good. The Care Director, [name removed] , would rarely respond to our calls, emails or texts. And it took numerous requests over four months to get the closet door repaired. We had to move mom to a secure facility and did tour the first floor at Harbour Pointe but were not impressed which made us look elsewhere.

January 12, 2024We are sorry to hear of your experience at Harbour Pointe and hope your mom is doing well in her new community. Please reach out if we can be of assistance in the future.
My dad needed to be rescued from a harmful situation and in a pinch Harbor Pointe Senior Living opened their doors to us. We were in a scramble to find somewhere that would accept us on short notice (within the week) and they made it happen! Even help getting the doctors to approve. I honestly am so happy how things ended up working out for us. This place is perfect! I’ve live just 5mins away, or a nice 15min walk away. There’s a wonder gulch near by with miles of trails to explore along a creek. There’s a public library, shopping and an overall sense of community. Inside is just as quaint, with staff that’s warm & welcoming; just as much professional. We are lucky to have found them and grateful for this exceptional service.

We had a really nice tour experience with Harbour Pointe. For us it just came down to the location and we wanted a place that was a little bit closer to us. The staff were great with their follow up with us after the tour as well.
This community seemed to be nice. The tour was great and I felt like they did an excellent job with the tour.
New management has taken over. They are in the process of changing things around. Overall, its good. My loved ones broken closet doors never got fixed. Sometimes they don't get around to helping residents to the bathroom in a timely manner. They seem to be short staffed and needing more caregivers. Our loved received daily need therapy services. The short staffed issues seem to be during the weekends more than the weekdays.

We chose Harbour Pointe because of the location and the room accommodations. The caregivers for the most part have been great, but there are always just a few who are not as good. I would recommend to other families who are looking.

Our family had an in person tour with Harbour Pointe and the tour was great, it is a beautiful facility. We just did not choose this community because it was a little more pricey then what we were looking for.

It's a very nice facility. People seem to be friendly throughout. And watching over and maintenance of my parents has been very good. I have one in assisted living, and one in memory care. In memory care, I think they try as much as they can. They watch over him and talk to him. I think my dad appreciates the friendliness of the girls there helping him. He has incontinence issues, and at a previous facility, there was always a problem of odor. And I'm not sensing any of that here at Harbour Pointe. Especially considering the fact that he's in memory care and may not be able to let them know, they keep up with him very well. The assisited living side is very good too. My mother gets a fair degree of attention, but she doesn't have a high need for assistance at this point. Although she might be moving to a higher level - nothing at all to do with the facility. She's more the bulldog who won't admit she needs help. I've observed the food, and it looks pretty good. They'll bring snacks in the afternoon too. So they're well looked after in that way. I would definitely recommend this community to others.

The process was relatively easy at the time. The communication was very good and the move-in was very easy. Whenever we have a concern with the apt they respond very fast and they give us a heads up when my mom needs something. We also get weekly updates from the community. I would definitely recommend this community to others. The staff is very compassionate and competent.

[Date removed] I did move my mom into this place but after a week I am ready to move her out. They did not follow thru on their promises and their food is the worst I have ever had. My mom has been sick 3 times in a week.

This may be a great setting for either or both of my parents. I like that there is not clear delineation between independent & assisted living. It protects residents' privacy and allows couples to stay together in the same apartment. Even if one needs to eventually move to memory care, they can still spend much of their waking hours with their spouse residing on an upper floor. I particularly liked the restaurant-style dining room. When entering the building - seeing lobby and then dining area - it struck me as very much like a cruise ship. As my Dad loves cruises, this is definitely an appealing factor. I very much appreciated the Director of Sales & Marketing's extensive background experience on the memory care side of things. Was a great tour and may be a good place for my parents. Not ready to make decisions of this kind but now actively engaged in discussing with my parents. My parents would be moving from a large home so transition to apartment would be a dramatic change. My Mother is a super active person and an avid volunteer. Not sure it's right for her at this stage but in terms of finding a place well suited to meet both of my parents' needs, this is likely the closest fit.

I had a great tour at Harbour Pointe as a preview for my mother. The staff was very informative and pleasant. the dining room is spectacular and the meal options look top notch. The suites are spacious and bright. For my situation, this location is a bit farther than I'd like from my home in Bothell.

A Place for Mom has scored Harbour Pointe Senior Living 6.7 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
