HarborChase of Sarasota

My Mom moved into Memory Care at HarborChase of Sarasota in June of 2022. I cannot say enough good things about the community, the nursing staff and the aides and all the other staff members. She has dementia and was at 2 other facilities before I found HarborChase. From the first visit with [name removed], I knew this was the best choice for my Mom. They care, they involve her in activities - going out of their way to help her participate. She can get very angry as part of her dementia and they understand her and never mind her outbursts. They deflect her anger and her hygiene is superb. [name removed] became the Memory Care Director after my Mom was there a few months and she really watches over the residents and staff. The executive staff is outstanding, too. [name removed], the nurse, is so amazing and seeing her compassion makes me so comfortable on any days I cannot get by to visit. I love [name removed] and all of the staff who take care of my Mom. They really love the residents. It is evident

5 on all I was very pleased with her experience !! She passed on [date removed]. She was kept very clean and appeared happy there. The woman who interview with [name removed] was very impressive! She did everything she could do to make my sisters move quick and smooth. She did an excellent job !

Great move in experience. The process went smoothly. The food is excellent and many choices. Am enjoying all the activities and live music. Have met a couple of guys and having fun hanging out in the mornings with coffee and at lunch.

HarborChase Sarasota is welcoming and very well maintained. The apartment is great and the food is excellent! The staff is helpful and courteous. The activities are engaging and we love the entertainment.

My mom became a resident at HarborChase Sarasota 7 years ago in Assisted Living. She has thrived through her time here. She is now in Memory Care and we couldn’t be happier with her care and activities. The staff is amazing and is always willing to help. My family couldn’t be happier!

I visited eight facilities similar to HarborChase before we picked what we feel was our best choice and still feel that way today. HarborChase has exceeded all of our expectations. I relax and play the piano often!

Our experience here has been wonderful. We moved from another facility because my sister was board where she was. At Harborchase she has been having so much fun! The room size is perfect for what she needs. The staff are always so nice and willing to help. The food is delicious and there is always something for her to do. The facility is clean and well kept. I would recommend to anyone looking for a facility in the Sarasota area to go there.

As a widow living alone in a large split-level house for several years, my Mother became aware she could no longer maintain herself and we began the search for an adult living community. We chose the HarborChase for its proximity to all needed facilities, plus it was centrally located for her family to visit. We were amazed how well she has adjusted to her new life when she moved in. Even now, at 93, she has never been in better health or better spirits. She enjoys her daily activities and all the new friends she has made. Her great grand children thinks she lives in a palace and they are not far wrong. HarborChase is clean, accommodating and thoroughly dedicated to the welfare of their patrons. Best of all, we know Mom is still independent while under excellent care.

My dad moved to Harbor Chase from another local Assisted Living Facility almost 5 years ago. He liked the linen tablecloths and "real" napkins. They had just opened and the place was and remains absolutely beautiful. Dad wasn't really cut out for assisted living life when he moved in as he was quite independent, stubborn, and sometimes a bit grouchy. The staff would have none of it and worked on him tirelessly to get him more involved. In short order we witnessed quite a change as dad was no longer available because of the afternoon poker game, the field trips to all sorts of destinations, and other scheduled events. We were relived, happy, and even a bit surprised at the change they were able to make as he seemed to embrace the assisted living experience. I cannot speak highly enough about the staff! HarborChase opened my eyes to an entire new concept and I would without hesitation recommend HarborChase of Sarasota to anyone.

My mom moved into HarborChase of Sarasota's Assisted Living two years ago. We loved HarborChase since we first walked through the front door. We are always greeted with a smile. My mom loves her apartment. She always tells me she is heading home to her apartment. She loves having dinner in the dining room with her friends. Chef [name removed] always prepares such wonderful meals. We love joining mom for Sunday brunch and she loves hosting us. More importantly we never have to worry about mom being taken care of. We know she is always safe and happy at HarborChase.

HarborChase is the best thing that happened to our mom. She has lived here for 5 years. She started in Assisted Living and has recently moved to Memory Care. We couldn't be happier with the Memory Care Director [name removed] and the Activities Director [name removed]. Her stay in Memory Care has surpassed our expectations. She is thriving.

We are NEW residents and it couldn't feel more like a brand new home in a great new neighbourhood. Residents and staff alike have been greeting us with open arms. The diverse staff has taken the challenge, adapted, and is still working to improve our experience after our first few weeks. Couldn't be happier. I think the value for the cost is overly expensive. The facility is needing some development. There's no pool or outdoor gardens. Everything is just flat and uninspiring. They don't make the residents' beds early on in the day, and the service is inconsistent. I think I was overly optimistic at first and realized that a couple of months in. Some of the staff are great, and some are not. I think their biggest problem is understaffing. And the food is not very good at all. This is an expensive place, so I'm a little disappointed in that. The medical doctor also lacks follow-up and execution. But I think the staff there are friendly and mean to do well, and they seem to do the best they can despite being short-staffed.

I believe they are short staffed. The staff that are there are wonderful. They have wonderful food here for the residents. There are lots of different activities available for the residents to choose from. The community tries to accommodate and see to all the resident's needs. I think it is good as they try to go above and beyond for the residents and families.

Really like the facility in close proximity to our house. The people were really lovely especially the activities director who we think my dad would really enjoy spending time with. This facility is at The top of our list

We were happy since his medications were monitored and dispensed and with the fantastic dining room he was eating more healthy than he had in years. I cannot speak highly enough about the staff, I just do not know where to start. From the people that maintain the facility, the medical staff, the dining staff, I could go on for way too long with compliments about all of them. My original thoughts of Assisted Living in general were of my grandmother basically locked in a nursing home for her last years. HarborChase opened my eyes to an entire new concept and I would without hesitation recommend HarborChase of Sarasota to anyone looking for assisted living for themselves or a relative.
