Brookdale Phillippi Creek

My brother in law who lives there isn't happy with the dining room service. We know you are short handed in there and we try to explain that to him but at 93 years of age he is impossible sometimes. Other than that he is happy there.

The staff are wonderful! They are all friendly and they go above and beyond to be helpful. I really enjoy when the community brings in entertainment. I like all the card games that they play here and enjoy playing those games during happy hour.And they are dog friendly and they welcome them!

[name removed] and his team are excellent. They treat the residents with great respect. They are excellent from the top down. The cafeteria is a 5 star cafeteria. They cater to different types of residents when it comes to food. The place is clean and free of bad smelling odors. The building is extremely well maintained including the front door.

I like it here. It is very nice and great. The staff is good and the internet is good here. I like the food here. My favorite is baked fish and the desserts. I love desserts. The chef serves really good pie.

The cafeteria here is nice. They have good food. I met my friend [name removed] here in the cafeteria. The staff here is also good. They do our laundry and I don't ever have to do it. The fountain out front is nice.

It is relaxing and calm here. The community is very social. The food here is delicious and the best I have had. The activities are great when I am able to make it to them. The activities director, [name removed] is really great. [name removed], the sales manager is great as well.

The staff members are very helpful. Everyone here cares. I like the B-fit exercise program. They play a lot of games and one of my favorites is playing cards during happy hour and we have happy hour every day at 3pm.

I like the staff a lot! The staff are helpful! It just feels like home here. I walk and greet people all day and they are kind to me back. When I want things done the staff gets it done. I needed my shower fixed and they got it fixed for me. The staff here truly cares.

All the people that work for this corporation are fabulous. Any questions you have the management team is excellent. If you have an issue go to [name removed] and he will find an answer. This community fabulous!

Would recommend this facility to others. And hope some of the new staff adhere to the rules of the facility and family members. Most staff members are kind and friendly and they are always attentive. Some still need a little work but I think/hope that they are willing to learn. Overall I’m happy with the care.

Caring for elderly people is very difficult emotionally and physically. They helped us make the hard decision with our mom. The transition was smooth and as they gotten to know her, they have given her dignity and shown her kindness.

We're very happy with Brookdale.They are very friendly and the food is very good. Communication about getting his medical setup was frustrating. We finally just last week got it set up with the doctor that is going to see and treat him when he needs him. [name removed] is very happy there though and everyone seems to love him. I feel sorry for the people that don't have loved ones to be their spokes person.

Staff has a large turnover, activities are lacking, administrators are hands off and non existent. Short staffed constantly. Food is not very good. That place was a absolute nightmare. Very understaffed, very unprofessional staff that was there.

They are short staffed, they don't have enough staff but they are pretty good. Mom likes the food, it smells good. They handle any problems. They are overall; friendly, caring, and wonderful. The nurses-aides are helpful if I have any issues.

There are quite a few staff members who care about the residents. The family need to be more proactive at overseeing the medication distribution being done properly. The staff do a good job at making people feel welcome and at home. The interior of the community is kept very nicely. The outside patio area needs to be maintained.

They are starting to bring back the activities which is great. Our loved one and family likes that this community has a lot of residents, it gives our loved one the chance to meet a lot of new people and make friends. We would recommend the Brookdale community to others, but there is room for improvement.

Losing all contact with my mother on [date removed] after necesary complaints through the help of my mother's professional guardian [name removed], and her attorney [name removed].This past week I had to report bed bugs. AHCA was there about past complaints and witnesseed the bed bugs. There have been untreated infections leading to loss of left eyeball, infected toe I had to report for over 3 weeks, laundry not done,, dirty room,, mother not being properly bathed, assigned to wrong room so investigation teams miss my mother. Kurt Greenlow said all complaints unfounded and because my mother has a state guardian no agencies will assist. Instead of any agency helping I am bring silenced being my mother's only voice and the only person she sees on a regular basis. This retaliation is to save Brookdale, [name removed] and her guardian [name removed] money in defending against my complaints. Multiple pictures available.

The communication between the staff and our family is good. They keep us well informed and up to date. The ground is absolutely gorgeous and the courtyard is secure and the residence can time outside. I would recommend this community to others.
