My overall complaint was that the level of care that they were supposed to provide to my mother was not met. My mother had several falls while there, and practically every time I arrived, she was in a wet bed. When we departed, they destroyed my mother's medications, for which we were then out of pocket several hundred dollars. Poor communication...

We would not recommend. We were consistently charged for care that my father was not given; like weekly showers, bringing him to the cafeteria for meals, etc. For independent living, it is a clean and beautiful facility, although the meal quality decreased while he was there. For "assisted living", there was no assistance and it was awful!

Wait times for help are too long, often 10 to 30 minutes. The staff could be more attentive to the residents' needs. Cleaning of my apartment is not great. Dusting doesn't happen and floor cleaning is spotty. Catholic services don't seem to be offered every week. Wheelchairs into the building have to go over a bump. I've communicated about it with management multiple times, but no improvements are made. Sometimes the food isn't warm. My suggestion: pay attention to the smaller details, which can be important to me. Maybe not to everyone, but to me.

The overall experience has been positive. The cleanliness is neutral, there was a Covid breakout in the kitchen and we were not apprised. The staff members are friendly. When it comes to the meals and dining the food is very bland and institutional. The activities have been positive, the activities director [name removed] is very engaged.

We toured Hamilton House Senior Living during our search for an Independent Living facility for our loved one. This facility was great and our tour was wonderful. It was very clean and nicely decorated. Very appealing to the eye and had a very welcoming feeling!
Hamilton House Senior Living is a beautiful facility and the public spaces are very clean. However, the housekeeping in the individual resident units is not great. It is supposed be done weekly, but it's done maybe once every three weeks in our experience. The food is great. The activities could be more varied. More music activities would be nice. The staffing is probably like all places - not enough. Some of the caregivers are fantastic and others are just okay. We had some delay in care during the first couple of weeks. We were frustrated that while they said they would investigate, no mention of trying to do better in the future. Definitely no apology. I don't get communication from the staff . Perhaps no news is good news? The Nursing Director was very responsive the first two weeks, but after that I need to search her out for questions/answers.

My mom loves it there! I want to give them all 5's, but that would mean they're perfect. They definitely get 4's - for sure 5 in the friendly department and for overall experience. Based on our experience we would absolutely recommend this community to other families.

The staff was extremely helpful especially with the transition to the facility. They offer lots of activities and even field trips. It seemed very clean to me. I would recommend it to others.

It's a very nice place. I really like the rooms and most of the staff is nice. If you're expecting to get help with loved one falling, they do not have trained nurses but caregivers. Each room has there own air, it is clean air in each room. It's a fairly new place, which is always clean. They have fireplaces on two different levels, and it's really nice.

I liked this community and it was our first choice but my mother required more care and this community had the care that was needed but it was in the memory wing and I felt like this would have been to much of a shock for my loved one. Other than this the community was great and i had no issues.
i like living in this community, its a really nice place. i do feel that the rent is a little excessive, but i do have great amenities such as; an in unit washer and dryer, dishwasher and parking. the management made a mistake on my account and not only did they fix it, but they also provided me with free underground parking for one year. the food is good, i'm 75% satisfied with it - i just wish the portions were a bit bigger. overall, i would recommend this community to others who are looking.

Our family had an in person tour and Hamiliton House is a very nice and beautiful facility, practically brand new and very close to where we live so super convenient. We did not care for a couple things though, we spoke with the gentlemen who gave us a tour letting him know we had the entire day off and could come at anytime to tour. They said 11:30 but when we got there, they told us we only had an hour to tour before their next appointment, and during that time they showed us a lot, but not the specific area our loved one was going to be in so we felt our time was a little wasted. However what we did see of the facility and the amenities were nice, but we felt like the gentlemen was more about sales and pushy.
Due to the pandemic I am only able to go into their great room to speak to my loved one. The communication with the staff has been great. Some of the activities they have available are games and others for the residents to participate in.

A Place for Mom has scored Hamilton House Senior Living 7.5 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
