Finnish American Village

After my sister's health changed, I took on the responsibility of managing her affairs, which included finding an appropriate care facility for her where she would receive mom trying, physical therapy nursing meals, might become engaged in activities with other residents and would be happy. Unfortunately, the initial two facilities we came to realize were not in the right fit for her. And then came finish American Village. In so many ways it is the right fit which she won consider home!

My mother is very happy living at FAV and has developed a sense of home there. The staff are very friendly and help is available when needed. While she requires no care service, it is easy to see that others receive the care they need. The food is food and plentiful; she just wishes more options were available if she can't eat what is being served. There are many activities but some change in directors has sometimes affected that.

I like it here very much! Nice atmosphere and nice rooms, food (3 meals day) is superb and staff is first class. This place gives you your money worth.

I have had good services here. The staff is friendly. The food is good. The rooms are clean, and they take good care of the patients. All in all, a great place to live.

My mom was at Finnish-American for approximately 5 years. The staff were so caring and supportive. From the CNA’s who took care of her daily needs, the Nurses who monitored her health, the activities staff who did everything to engage my mom in arts, crafts, and games. The Administrative staff who provided care-plans, support and guidance, the house keeping staff who always stopped in to say hi to both my mom and I and to the kitchen staff who made the most delicious home cooked meals along with yummy desserts. The entire staff was an absolute answer to prayer, efficient, professional, caring and supportive! A very special place! ??

The rooms are nice and spacious, With lots of storage (my mom has four closets). They have a band play for the residence from time to time. Trips to the grocery stores and shopping centers. Great nurses, and great atmosphere.

The staff at Finnish American Village is top notch. They truly care about the residents. The nursing staff is always on top of items. I couldn't have found a more loving assisted living facility. Thank you Place For Mom for the recommendation.

I found the Finnish American Village to be clean and inviting. Move in was smooth. My mother-in-law enjoyed the outings and social activities.

Overall we've had a good experience with assisted living at Finnish American Village. It fits my husband's needs, and the food is exceptional. I would recommend it to other families.

I find the facility to be quant and the staff caring. While, the 'personal emergency buttons' have not been reliable in our experience, they have said they are ordering new ones. They do wake the residents very early if they need help dressing, so just be aware if you are someone who likes to sleep in, that probably won't happen. They try to do a nice outing once a week - a meal at a restaurant, a picnic at a park, Lion Country Safari, etc. as well as outings to retailers and the grocery store. I would recommend Finnish American Village to anyone who needs to have Assisted Living Care. The nurses are very caring, the food is great, and the activities are plenty.

Finnish American Village does an extremely good job. They have a nursing side as well as assisted living side, so if your relative doesn't need help getting dressed or taking baths, they have the ability to go to the assisted sided. They have a lot of activities - arts and crafts, bingo, church, lots of varied and fun things. They go out twice a week to the grocery store as well as a fun outing, to the mall or to the zoo for instance. The residents have a say and get to vote on what they want to do. There's a cleaning service that cleans the apartment, which is included in the rent. It's an older place, but it's really nice.

We chose Finnish American village because it felt very homey and the quality of care seemed to be good. The room sizes could be a little bigger if you have to share, but for 1 person they are just fine. I think it would be helpful for families to get pamphlets of the do's and don'ts to help with the transition period. I would definitely recommend them to others looking.

My Mom was in the rehab two years ago. We had to make a quick decision for a rehab facility after my mom was discharged from the hospital. Finnish American isn't a fancy village, but it's very clean, and the staff are very caring. My brother and I were very happy with this facility. A perfect example of don't judge a book by its cover. The staff were very responsive to our needs and concerns.

We chose Finnish American Village because of the friendly, family environment and it is a smaller facility so it is not so overwhelming. The room sizes are fine for what she needs. The value for the money here is great. The people overly friendly and accommodating and when you walk in everyone you see is smiling. I would recommend to others looking, it is a home away from home.

My mom absolutely loves it at Finnish American Village and we have been happy with our experience. We chose this facility because she had visited here before and she knows someone here who is part of the family. She also had a good idea of what the staff would be like. It is in a convenient location for our family. I would recommend them to others looking.

My mom has been at Finnish American Village for about a year and half now. She originally went in due to being close to her 90's and needing more socialization than she was her condo. It's been the BEST place possible for her, before COVID lockdowns and since. The staff truly does have a heart and always seems to do that something "little extra" to keep her being well taken care of and engaged. As with most places, there's fewer activities during COVID, but they've managed to be creative and come up with ways to keep folks engaged. I couldn't think of a better place for her to be at! Clean, friendly, great meals, and feeling cared for. For mom, and her daughters (who both live many states away) it's been as could as it could be.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Finnish-American Village. My mother has been there for a year now, and I could not have picked a more loving, caring, professional, clean place for her to live. From [name removed], the sales and marketing director; to the head nurse [name removed] and everyone in between, the staff truly cares about each and every patient. Finnish-American Village is very clean, and the food is delicious. There is a beautiful outdoor area for the residents to enjoy, as well as several welcoming common areas. I feel truly blessed that we found Finnish-American Village for my mother.
