In memory of my mom, [name removed], who died 1 year ago this week...i thought how much she would like it if i warned other families. If you have a loved one DONT PUT THEM HERE. My mother, who had advanced Parkinsons, and otherwise decent health, was there 36 hours when she fell, broke her back, AND WAS DEAD 6 MONTHS LATER. That's the headline, ...if you want the details, read my review under Google reviews. The facts are indisputable.

Response from Cherry Oak Palm Beach County
June 28, 2022Good Morning. We do not have a current or former resident at our facility by this name. I would love the opportunity to review and address these issues if I were to know who to speak with. All residents are always welcome and encouraged to openly discuss any issues they may be having. My door is always open. Or perhaps this review was made for the wrong facility by mistake.
There is no care there. The food has 0 nutrition. It is so poorly run. Really the place is awful. would not sent anyone there. The state needs to come in and see what is going on.

There is no senior management at this time. [name removed] kicked my disabled brother out (sent him to jail) for making a mistake. [name removed] called the family to pick his belongings she put outside the building with 45 mins notice, at which time my sister was the only family caring for my mother who fell and was in the hospital then rehab and required 24 hour assistance. And they kept many belongings and his 60" TV. Upon his release from jail, he went back to what he thought was his home, he was covered in feces, and they told him to never come back. They did NOT call the family to come get him and left this disabled 62 year old man standing outside. HE HAD TO WALK TO MY SISTERS HOUSE. His body is full of sores that he had from Cherry Oak and we have taken photos and will file a complaint with the State of FLorida Dept of Health. To treat a human being like this is despicable.

#1 priority @ Cherry Oak is what the owners want. If they want a facility full of empty rooms, they should have bought a dollhouse and filled it with happy little plastic people. Water cooler out of order for a month - that's OK, the one on the other side of the building works. NOTHING IS HANDICAPPED ACCESSIBLE. The building was built before the ADA, so they don't have to comply - the owners aren't handicapped and they don't live here, plus THEY DON'T CARE. The whole place is wired with security cameras that DON'T WORK. CNA'S, housekeepers and dining room staff are great, but they leave as soon as they can. It doesn't seem like anyone is making an effort to find WHY everyone is quitting. Here's the menu: you'll eat what we give you and you're lucky to have it.

I feel such a sense of relief now that my siblings and myself have made the decision to move my father into Colonial Assisted Living in Lantana, FL. We were greeted like family from the moment we stepped through the front door. The Executive Director gave us the tour, and could not have been nicer. The residents were happy and greeted each staff member warmly. It was a cheerful, happy environment and the building offers spacious rooms and brightly lit common areas. Dad was initially not thrilled with giving up his home since he became a widower, but he is gradually looking forward to the sense of ease that comes with someone else taking care of his cooking/meals, his doctor appointments and medications, his laundry and his housekeeping. We are so grateful that the staff has welcomed him like family.

My grandpa was there until he passed away and the staff was very caring and helpful with everything he needed to be comfortable. They made it feel like home for him I would recommend this facility for any loved ones needing care away from home..

Affordable and nice building. My mother currently stays here and I really enjoy visiting her here. The staff is always welcoming forthcoming about any updates or changes happening to the facility. The courtyard is tended to often and the fountain makes you feel at home.

Beautiful building. I believe this was an old nursing home so it has more security features like nursing call buttons and more secure areas. We met the most adorable woman named Gene when we toured. This facility is huge and has a fountain, library, bingo area, great room and I'm sure much more than what we saw during our short time there. They were in the process of doing renovations (which is always good) so we look forward to seeing the updated foyer when it is complete.

My husband left their facility in April and they continue charging May, June and August. Atlantis refunded May, the credit card won the June dispute but we are still trying to get the August money back. The bank (Visa) took a loss of $2225.71 once they realized this was fraud and they advised that Atlantis was unresponsive to their request and they had questionable business practices. I tried one more time to get them to at least return the $773.29, but I could not even get the local office return my calls. I wanted to try to get this corrected before giving them a bad rating.

This is a definite NO. This facility was dirty, smelled, and during the tour I was shown the TV room where 2 employees were sitting in the dark and appeared to be sleeping. I would not trust them with the care of my mother.
