When choosing the right place for my loved one I tried to ask all of the important questions. More than simply price & quality of care but annual increase, the happiness of current residents and on staff qualifications and employee satisfaction. I'd imagine finding qualified employees is a challenge for the industry in general. But the elderly require extra patience, empathy & understanding. Fieldstone struggles with turnover, which affects residents directly. But is this industry wide? I'd imagine the answer is yes but a smaller company should be able to mitigate this better than a conglomeration. The annual price increase shared with me prior to move in was 3%-6%. Thus far, increases were 12% for 2023 & 9% for 2024. Fieldstone explained this with, 'in order to maintain quality of the food & retain employees' yet food quality has waned & several employees have left. Food that was free (in the Skylounge) is no longer & Gerald's dining room food has gone down in quality, consistency & portion size. Despite everything, the residents remain happy & the general environment of Fieldstone Silverdale is bright & caring. From word of mouth, the food (it's a big deal for residents) is still better than most of the surrounding area's other options. Finding the right place for your parents is difficult. There is no perfect answer or facility. Fieldstone does try and for that I am grateful.... Read more

We picked them because of the new ,modern décor, open concept main floor and the light, bright feel. Also, we liked the easy outdoor access to walk around the facility and the seating and gardening areas out front. And, the view! I think it would only be fair to make note that these comments are based on the facility almost immediately after it opened and any less than favorable ratings on the staff and level of care were based more on what appeared to be a bit of disorganization, lack of communication and possibly lack of training. The staff and caregivers were all very friendly and willing but seemed limited in their abilities and skills.

Response from Fieldstone Clear Creek
October 14, 2024Thank you for sharing! We love to hear when our staff and community makes an impact.
This is merely a summary: •Regarding quality of care--I am independent. •After living here only 3 months my rent was raised [fee removed] The second year my rent was raised [fee removed] . Another rent increase ahead [date removed]? •When it comes to safety there is only one set of elevators, which is totally inadequate in this size building. Worrisome the 1 set of elevators here, periodically break down and are out of order. • Elevator floors are unclean. •Overall the quality of this building, its construction, design, and its furnishings are of disappointing standards. •On the upside Fieldstone is within close proximity to my daughter.

Overall we are very happy with our decision to move my mother-in-law to Fieldstone. The facility is top notch and feels more like a nice apartment complex than an assist living facility. The staff has been excellent and the other residents are very friendly. There were some initial issues getting her meds correct but I think that was because her medication needs were changing and a time lag getting the right information from Kaiser. I highly recommend Fieldstone.

I would say that Fieldstone promotes and demonstrates community. I appreciate that the staff treat my family as if they are family members. The only thing I recommend is if they could become a Medicaid facility. They have so many facilities they could at least identify one as Medicaid.

I love it here. I would recommend it to my friends I chose this primarily, because if I need to change from independent to assisted living, I can stay in my same apartment we have a restaurant open from 7 AM to 7 PM and a bar and grill open from 11 AM to 7 PM. My children are just as happy as I amto be staying here

Response from Fieldstone Clear Creek
December 11, 2023Thank you for sharing, Betty! We love to hear when our staff and community makes an impact.
They will go the extra mile to help a resident engage in activities. An example is the lead nurse printed out words for my dad to a song he was performing in the talent show. She reached out to me to let me know how well he was doing practicing. I think it's great that they not only take care of their physical health, but also are aware and address mental health.

Response from Fieldstone Clear Creek
June 1, 2023Thank you for sharing! We love to hear when our staff and community makes an impact.
Field Stone gives a good first impression, but is terrible at communication. The front desk staff is nice but we only had the room cleaned once in 4 weeks and we had to pester them to make that happen. They always had an excuse. The menu was cut in half one week into our stay. No welcome. No orientation. No explanation about the restaurant reservation system - initially we just got horrible service. Later, once we learned we needed to make a reservation, we were denied many times due to Field Stone staffing issues. Their problems always became our problem. Field Stone was quick to kick my Dad out. First, they said he could not come back because of an antibiotic IV. Once removed, we had to continually ping Field Stone about returning only to hear they were "still waiting on paperwork ". Ultimately my wife got the paperwork for them as Field Stone would not assist. When they denied Dads return because of foot wounds, we had to move out. We moved into another Assisted Living facility where Dad's medical condition was not a problem. Field Stone kept saying they had to continually deny service because they lacked skilled resources. Their limits are not industry limits. Stay away from Field Stone unless you are looking for Independent Living with crappy food, terrible communication and absolutely zero help with anything. I would not recommend them.

May 12, 2023Thank you for your feedback. We are always looking for opportunities to improve our care and services. We appreciate your input.
I thought that the staff was very friendly at this facility. The food seemed fine, but I only ate there one time. My loved one didn't really get into the activities, so the rating on those is based off of my impression. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

May 12, 2023Thank you for taking the time to post this thoughtful review. We sincerely appreciate the opportunity to serve you and your loved one!
I was really disheartened to read the negative reviews and have to wonder at the maturity and motivation of the authors. I have a family member who works at Fieldstone. She has a heart for service and loves her residents. She has a great relationship with her management team and her coworkers. When I recently needed to find a place for my Mom to live, I toured Fieldstone. I have toured just about every assisted living facility in the county over the past few years due to the needs of another family member. Not only was the facility and the amenities offered, well above anything else I’ve seen, I was impressed more by the residents themselves. I was approached by several during our tour and have come to meet many others since my Mom moved in. The residents are the best testimony to how a facility is run. I’ve heard nothing but positive comments from the lovely people who live at Fieldstone, including my Mom. She has been welcomed by her neighbors and staff alike. Highly recommended.

This is a pretty nice community. The people, area, and food make this a good place for my loved one. The staff communication has been good with the family. There are three meals a day, and there is a menu for the residents to order from. There are lots of choices to choose from in the dining room or snack area. There is transportation for the residents to go to doctor appointments or outings.

This facility is phenomenal! It's new and very clean. I've noticed various staff members picking up trash and things when I visit. They all take pride in the cleanliness and contribute to it. The food is great, my parents love it. Good quality and variety. The chef is very responsive about specific requests, also. Housekeeping is once a week and done well, except for when mom is sleeping and dad won't let them in. But they can't help that! Communication with the family is great. They're super responsive and really care here. They do offer a variety of activities, my parents just choose not to participate. Being newer, they do have some availability but it's filling up fast! I would absolutely recommend them to friends and family, I would move in if I could!

The facility seems very clean, and everybody seems friendly. My family member says the food is awesome. They have a lot of different activities planned for the residents. And I have no complaints with the care she is receiving.

We went with Fieldstone Clear Creek because my husband was in another facility and we were not happy with it. Fieldstone had just recently opened and I went and toured it and I decided to move him here - he is doing so much better since then. The staff are always happy and seem like they really enjoy working there. The building itself is newer and open and inviting. I would recommend them to other families.

We did not even tour any other facilities, Fieldstone Clear Creek was a slam dunk from the second that we walked in. It is absolutely gorgeous and has a cruise ship feeling top it - it is bright and inviting. The staff we spoke with were great and the activities calendar looked plentiful. The food is amazing, I would give that a 10 if I could. The staff seem to respond quickly and fix issues the second that you point it out so that has been wonderful. The facility is brand new and there have been some communication and documentation hiccups. It seems like the people who give the care do not send that information back up the chain for other caregivers to see and notate. Overall it has been a wonderful experience and if we had to do it all over again, we would still choose Fieldstone. My advice to people would be to just keep track of your loved ones care for the first few months that way you can cross check it with the staff there.

The Fieldstone Clear Creek community has been great so far they get 6 star. One of the things that attracted me if is if I ever were to need additional assistance I do not have to move, I can stay right in my apartment which I am very satisfied with. The meals and dining service here is excellent, the activities are fantastic there is plenty to do and so far there are no complaints at all

June 7, 2022Thank you for your feedback! We are so glad to hear that you’ve had a wonderful experience and are grateful to have you as a Clear Creek resident.
it' has beautiful decorations, great art work, grand piano and fireplace in entrance lobby, seems very welcoming. the beginning it was a great place to live but before long, we realized there is no follow thru, lot's of promises and no action. lacking activities (blamed on Covid of course) one should wonder why many staff have left a new facility. it is my opinion that the main interest is renting the apartments, not the residents. it quickly had a feeling of living in a nursing home, not independent living. we moved out.

Since covid has happened, it has really cut down on what the facility is able to offer/provide for the residents. For example there are very few activities going on, the families are not able to go eat with their loved one, and things like that that we were initially looking forward to. On a positive note, the apartment sizes here are great.

We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
