The care my mother receives is professional and timely for medical and physical needs. Memory care staff is friendly and helpful. However, more staff training is needed in the memory unity. My frustration is with lack of communication and mail processing. Tuscany has had a lot of staff turnover in its upper staff positions and its phone system seems to have been overhauled so my contacts are confusing. As my mother’s dementia worsens staff is challenged to get her to comply with hygiene care and other tasks. The IMORTANT thing is mom’s care and safety which I have NO issues with. I’ve learned that some things you have to let go of and not make it an issue. The facility it’s self is clean, home like atmosphere and beautiful. Not sure why these facilities leave out this information in their brochures but this location is NOT Medicaid approved so please take that into consideration when making decisions. Overall I’m pleased with most, more importantly mom is safe, clean and content.

We’re sorry you have trouble getting a hold of our staff; that’s frustrating. Our staff is expected to be available for residents and our hope is that they were simply busy with someone else at the time. Either way, we’ve taken steps to address this thanks to your note. Staffing shortages and delay in services. Exceptional facilities. Competitive rate.

Our loved one likes the complex a lot. The meals have not been great because the chef has quit. Our loved one has really has enjoyed participating in the activities.

I have absolutely no complaints. My family member is very satisfied and likes it there. They come in once every two weeks to do some light cleaning, and they keep it very clean. The staff are friendly and have been more than helpful. He's satisfied with the food. They have activities and go on outings, which he enjoys. They're doing what hey said they would do, and he's perfectly happy. I think the cost for all of these types of places is too high - the cost is really the only downside to the whole thing.

My father had a wonderful experience with Edencrest. The residents are so nice and welcoming. They made him feel like he was part of the family the minute he walked into the facility. The staff showed expertise in responding to Dad’s needs. We were very impressed at the response time for an emergency and the frequency of visits from them. I highly recommend this facility to others.

The aides have not had training or any experience. Mom was dying from cancer. They had to be reminded every hour to give her medicine. Two of the girls asked me which arm to use for the morphine. It was liquid and I had to teach them how to put it in her mouth. No supervision whatsoever. Director too busy thinking of himself to actually do his job. Think twice about trusting them with your loved one.

A Place for Mom has scored Edencrest at The Tuscany 6.5 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
