The staff is great! There might be a couple of people having a bad day on certain days, but overall very good. Housekeeping is great. I wish they would provide toilet paper and tissues so I did not have to run to the store and keep track. Communication with the families is good. Move in was easy with a dolly and back door provided. I cannot comment directly on the meals because I have not eaten there myself, she seems to like some of them. Others not so much. Any improvement? Most has been good for me, but my mom feels like they are not telling me everything they tell her, but she gets confused. Maybe a more formal scheduled meeting every month or every other month. I would definitely recommend this facility.... Read more

Our family had an in person tour and the facility is very nice pretty and smelled clean. The people we encountered were all pleasant but at the time they did not have any independent living apartments that had a washer and dryer inside, or that have the availability for us to put one in.
They have been absolutely great. My mom was in a different facility and moved to Atria, and she has really enjoyed being there. She's really very happy. It has been a very positive move, and we could tell that it was going to be from the minute we walked in the door. It's a warm and friendly environment. There's a lot of care and concern from all members of the staff. My mom has been able to make friends, and she reports that she's really happy with the food.

I am very happy with them. I suspect any problems I've seen are related to staffing issues that are industry-wide. Anything that they don't do or fail at would be related to simply being overwhelmed by the times. But when I come to them with issues, I feel that they sincerely care. Really our only criticism is my mom has been a little disappointed in the quality of the food sometimes.

The residents are pretty much left on their own thoughout the day, except at med time and meal time. The staff in the memory unit working with residents were very nice, but I believe there were understaffed. My sister suffers from early onset dementia and I was hoping the Memory Care unit at this facility would be a good fit for her, sadly it was not. Most of the residents are well in to their 80s, my sister is a young 54 yo. It is my belief that because she was still active, it was too much for the staff and administration, and my sister was asked to leave. I would think all Memory Care facilities were trained in dealing with all types of dementia in all age groups.

It's a warm, welcoming community, and they take really good care of their residents. We've been super pleased. My loved one moved in with some pretty major health issues, and now that she's better, she's decided she wants to stay. She's completely content and happy. She has social life and friends. It's just awesome. And a happy mom makes everybody happy!

We did a virtual tour with Atria Virginia Beach and they did a great job. We went with another facility due to the closer location to family.
The community is neat and clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. They have plenty of activities for the residents to participate in. The food needs a better variety my loved one is tired of the same menu. I would recommend this community to others based on my experience.

It's a great community. I like that it's not only assisted living but independent living also, which they have mixed all throughout the facility. It's not segregated into separate sections. The staff is wonderful. They get to know you, and they care about the residents and take good care of them. They have activities every day but aren't yet going on outings again. It's just hard to find a place that's not an exorbitant amount of money that's still nice. And Atria Virginia Beach is a very nice place. The rooms are large, and you get a kitchenette, which you don't usually get at other assisted living facilities The bathroom is huge too. I just love the place.

The staff are inclusive. The residents and staff are so nice. Everyone has been wonderful with my loved one. The dining room just reopened for the residents. They have a great variety of activities for the residents to partake in. The flexibility of the staff has been amazing, and they go above and beyond for the resident.

The covid restrictions are starting to relax now, and the activities are starting to come back. Our loved one is able to garden which he loves doing. Value is much better then the previous community our loved one was at, its great. The community is very clean, and they are giving good care. They are really understanding all of our loved ones needs and wants.

We chose Atria Virginia Beach because of the price as well as the location, he used to live right down the street so he was comfortable with the area. They were really good with communication during everything that was going on. If there were any issues they were addressed right away. I think the quality and variety of food could have been improved but with covid they were not getting all of their food deliveries so that played a part. I would recommend to others looking.

[name removed] has been extremely helpful. I could not virtual tour due to scheduling conflicts, but [name removed] took the time to record a narrated phone video and a formal video produced in 2020. My thanks to her and you, [name removed]. = [name removed]= (Rating is based on what I've seen and the help provided)

Atria is a very responsible place, especially during covid-19. Is wonderful! I also enjoy the food. Atria is doing the best compared to the other assisted living's, in my opinion.

I rate it very well. I have no complaints, most of the time. Sometimes, the meals come at different times. But that's the small thing. On the whole, I'm pretty happy being here.
