The everyday caregivers were very nice but the administration were unhelpful, unsuportive and clearly cared about filling the rooms, but lacked the support once those rooms were filled.

October 10, 2022Phil, thank you for sharing this insight with us! We're honored to make a difference at Crystal Creek.
I toured Crystal Creek and they were having difficulty finding a place for my parents and that's why we didn't pick it. It was also older and I was looking for something a little prettier.

September 21, 2022P.T., thank you for taking the time to share this feedback with us.
Constant Flux in care staff. Always short staffed. Front desk often unattended and phones unanswered. Asst living director position continually changing or left unfilled. Client never attends activities as no one reminds, encourages or prompts when time. No creative programs to meet needs across interests. If client wasn't opposed to change, would move immediately.

I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones. They do a really good job in caring for the residents. The admissions manager is fabulous, and has been able to continue to follow up with my loved one and their care. There are three meals served daily. The community is able to accommodate the residents in where they eat, whether that be in the dining room or in their own room.

May 26, 2022Mike, thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts about our Dallas community! We are honored to read your praises and will be sure to share them with our team members. Have a great day!
I say a double 5! Most of the staff that comes in are perfect. Then we have a few other staff members that seem a little bothered. When I push the button, sometimes its a few minutes and sometimes that is over 10 minutes waiting for help.

March 8, 2022Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback for Crystal Creek at Preston Hollow! We will be sure to pass along your thoughts to our team.
My Mom was recently admitted for skilled nursing care & rehab (physical, occupational, and speech therapies). The wound care doctor basically never saw her, however, the nurses on duty took great care to treat the wound. Severe lack of communication between physicians that make rounds and the nursing staff and rehab team. Literally lost 3 weeks of meaningful rehab due to communication break down. The food was marginal and often arrived cold (there were times she was not served food at all). Wait times after pressing call button unacceptable (possible labor shortage). Contract CNA’s were not vested and appeared annoyed when asked for assistance. Attention to sanitation, when handling our loved one, was addressed at our request. This is a beautiful facility with so much potential. Better communication could have made a world of difference. Again, nursing staff was great and went out of their way to support our Mom. She loved the activities.

Loved one was recently at this facility for rehab. Our experience was really bad. Lack of attention bordered on neglect. Long wait times for assistance after ringing call button. Nursing staff great, but CNA’s uninterested in helping patients, made our loved one feel like an imposition. Sanitation was an issue too; CNA’s did not always change gloves between patient rooms and masks not always worn either. Beautiful facility with lovely patient activities, but definitely has staffing issues.

Our mom passed away here after falling as workers tried to put her in a wheelchair. She was in the previous place for several years but needed more care. Not a good place obviously.

We moved my mom to Crystal Creek into the assisted living about 4 months ago and we are so happy that we did! My mother loves the caregivers and has met so many friends (this was a problem at the last facility) because the activities team works to get the residents involved. She loves the food and has fun with all of the outings. For us the biggest plus was communication is no longer an issue. When we call, we get a prompt response from the Director. Something that seems impossible at other communities. We wished we would have moved her here first but so grateful that we found the best place.

We have had an issue getting ahold of the staff, the communication between the staff and is not good. The rooms are good, the food is good and they offer a good variety. I would not recommend this facility to others.

Two of my dear friends moved into the Assisted Living at Crystal Creek around the first of the year and have had nothing but rave reviews for the staff, the food and physical surroundings. They said one of their favorite things, is that it is a medium sized campus, and as such fosters a more intimate and quaint atmosphere that allows friendships to flourish.

My mom moved to Crystal Creek Assisted Living after being in Rehab, This has been a great transition for her. It has allowed her to have a little independence and still have assistance as needed for Medications and Meals. Thankful for the staff that has been very helpful in assisting us thru this transition.

My husband was in the rehab part of Crystal Creek for one week and he did not get the attention he needed for his condition. One of the things that bothered me was they don't provide filtered water. They are serving the patients tap water and I find this to be very unsanitary. I wouldn't recommend this facility if your loved one needs to be attended to more often that every few hours.

Crystal Creek has been a good experience for my grandmother, who is suffering from Alzheimer's. They have a memory care section that caters specifically to Alzheimer's. The activities and amenities are specialized for memory problems. Very positive experience so far. Thank you.

Can only speak for the rehab portion. Not impressed and would never recommend this place. Not even 24 hours after my grandmother was in the hospital, I visited her and she looked absolutely horrible. She was lethargic and week, could barely stay awake, and her skin was incredibly pale. The nurse refused to believe that she looked bad, and flat out argued with me. Now, my grandmother lives with me and I see on a daily basis. I am her primary caretaker, so I am pretty certain of when she looks ill. On top of that, I am also an ICU and ER nurse, so I definitely know when a patient is sick. He told me that she has looked that pale said she came in, which was not true. He was very dismissive, aggressive, and rude to me, eventually refusing to talk to me because "I am not on the facesheet.' I hit the call button because she had had a bowel movement, and I had managed to get her cleaned up and changed before anyone had even realize that the light was on. She had had to black stools throughout the day, which no one had bothered to alert the nurse to. She ended up being severely hypotensive and anemic with a blood count approaching critical levels. Clearly, the nurse in question who argued with me and said "we are trained to assess our patients" needs to hone his skills. She ended up with a severe diaper rash (which the nurse also argued with us about), and it took us staying on the staff to even get her bathed. She has been there one month and has really made very little progress as far as getting back to her previous level o functionality; her insurance is requiring her to be discharged because she somehow meets criteria for it - she can't even transfer to the bed or toilet safely and is unsteady on her feet. Makes me wonder what is in her medical record. So she is being discharged today, because she walked 150 ft once, and since she's walking soooooo well, they only arranged for her to have a wheelchair, no walker. The even knew she would have to get up stairs to get into the home. Zero effs are given as to how their patients/residents will function once they leave. Not sure how they earned high marks for their "skilled rehab," but coming from a healthcare professional, it is seriously lacking and should be avoided.

My loved one stayed in the rehab portion of the community for a brief stay. It was a very nice community that was very clean and well-kept. She had a very nice apartment on the third floor. It is a smaller community that offered activities and really touted their off-site activities for the residents. I felt that when we made the final decision for our loved ones we wanted to make sure they had plenty of staff available and that there was more supervision for their care needs.
