Crossroads at Lakewood Memory Care

As I toured the facility which is very clean no smells throughout the facility. Activities were going on in one of the dining rooms which it seemed like the residents were enjoying themselves. Staff were assisting in engaging the residents throughout the building from watching TV to conversation with them to doing nail care

Our Mom was at this facility for a few months sadly at the time the facility had NO professionally licensed medical staff or skilled nursing as promised by brochure and Director in the beginning. Needless to say after a very scary medication error , we were informed by a State of Colorado employee the Qmap had been crushing her meds, with a No Crush order from her doctor, which could have been fatal due it being a time released heart medication, at that point we were recommended by our Moms doctor we move her to skilled nursing facility which we did. I will say there was several genuine wonderful caregivers and other personnel at this facility which i miss, but sadly they were not treated well or praised by management as they should have been.

When my elderly friend needed memory care, we chose Crossroads. The staff was so very helpful in introducing us to their community. I see first-hand that they genuinely care about the residents. Another helpful benefit is the all inclusive pricing. I know what to expect each month. It is comforting to know that my friend is in this safe and caring community.

The best care. When I was working, I had an opportunity to work in several senior living facilities. Down the road and I need a home for my wife of 54 years. When I first visited this home I knew it was good. My wife has been here for a year and there is no other place she needs to be, the care is superb, everything from the food to the entertainment and the friends you make and my wife's comfort are all superb. I live 75 miles away so the communication with staff is critical and I could not be more pleased. [name removed]the director, [name removed]the nurse director to [names removed], some of the daily caregivers are all so caring and help me monitor my wife's daily needs. I love the people here

My father who is 95 has been caring for my mom who is 97 and has had memory issues for a number of years. They had a part time weekly care giver who was very good, but over the last year it became apparent that they would both benefit living in a memory care facility. (I live in another state, but visit them monthly.) We got some recommendations from a hospice volunteer and did our own online research. We toured five different facilities and felt that Crossroads Lakewood was the best fit based upon seeing the staff interacting with residents, cost (monthly & community fees) and the facility itself. My parents have been at Crossroads for a little over a month now and are doing very well. They have a two room apartment with a southern exposure so it's nice and bright. My dad raves about the staff and the food. A lot of my stress have been relieved because I no longer have to worry about whether they're taking their meds and eating regularly.

My loved one was previously a resident at Crossroads at Lakewood Memory Care. The move in process was very smooth. The housekeeping was exceptional. The meals always looked very delicious. The staff was very conscientious and friendly. We enjoyed them all. I would highly recommend Crossroads at Lakewood Memory Care to family and friends!

My dad is really happy at Lakewood Memory Care. The entire staff makes him feel special and well cared for. He loves all the activities, and always participates . I have never heard a staff member speak to any resident with anything but kindness and respect. He enjoys all the meals, and holiday events. I am so grateful for the care my dad received. My peace of mind is priceless.

We moved my father to Lakewood Memory Care from another facility. What a blessing LMC turned out to be for him. He was so much happier in his new home. He wore clean clothes every day and bathed regularly. He stopped complaining about the lack of food and liked the meals served. His room was picked up daily. I truly believe the staff really care about the patients and treat them as one of their own family members.

Now that my Mom is settled into Lakewood Memory, things are going very well. She seems to have become comfortable with her surroundings. We are very pleased with the way things are going and are happy with her care. The staff is interacting with her well. Right after she moved in, she fell out of bed and had to go to the hospital, so we were a little worried but since then it’s been really good and I don’t have any complaints at all. The facility seems to be kept very clean. The nice thing about this place is that, when we first walked in, it didn’t feel like a nursing home. The room seems clean and they do her laundry once a week. With the experience we’ve had, I would recommend them.

Dad has lived at Lakewood Memory Care going on his seventh month now. We have been very pleased with his care. The staff is always friendly, helpful and willing to go out of their way to help the residents.

My father had lived in Green Mountain Brookdale for several years. They increased their rates by an incredible amount. There was no way we could afford to keep him in that facility. The rate increases were incredible. For example, they were charging over a $1,000 a month for a mechanical soft diet. I toured a few facilities and I called a Place for Mom. I received many good referrals. I had already toured Lakewood Memory Care and it popped up on a referral. I am very impressed with this place. Every single person who works there has introduced me, letting me know their name. The room is larger than the previous facility. The hallways are wider. The facility is cleaner. This place is made exclusively for people with memory problems. The one area that needs improvement is their activities. I will say Brookdale Green Mountain had an excellent activity director. I am not sure what is going on with the activity director at Lakewood, as I haven't seen her for awhile. Lakewood still had fun activities planned, for instance a "senior prom." My father has experienced some health problems which is not the fault of either facility. He is now in hospice care.

I think this place was best suited for my mom's situation. They a friendly, kind, and very loving towards my mom and myself.

This community is outstanding. We like that the staff are helpful and always keeping us informed on her progress. The meals are very good and she enjoys the variety. We are happy to see her participating in a lot of activities. We needed a place for her that is secure. We con not be happy for the care and the value that is given here and would recommend to others.

Wonderful place! An entire community that is focused on residents with Alzheimer's or Dementia. Very much a home-like setting that is warm and comforting.
