We are incredibly grateful that they took care of my father during an emergency. Some of the staff members have been wonderful, and very attentive and knowledgeable about the application process. The therapist has been wonderful along with the others in therapy. My father has been liking all the exercise and PT he has been receiving. He is really getting a lot of out the activities and it's making him happy. We met the chef and my father seems to be enjoying the meals. We went into the dining room with my father and I could see they are very well organized. The meals are very individualized, and my father seems to be eating without complaint.

Something I noticed is the staff that they have is great. Every time we ask anything they are pretty informative. My father hasn't complained. They seem a little understaffed though. The renovations are okay. He's placed in the new room they renovated and they have no remotes for TV and no curtain. Can you finish the room first before you put a patient in it please? Other than that I like it. Sometimes the food is overcooked and bland.

The staff was great, a 4 plus out of 5. The facility is going through renovations. I think the aides were really great. They walked her or transported her to the bathroom with the wheelchair - and I certainly appreciate this, and this is major. They were very nice and accommodating if she did not like the meal. It is hard with the renovation. I think there are certain things they could not control. The phone system was not good because I could not call her directly.

They've taken an old building and they are trying to make it a new. They took away his walker and it's locked up and now I can't find it. It's taken 3 days to get someone to even start rehab therapy. They bring him his meals, an hour after his roommate gets his. They are poor at delivering all the meals at the time.

They keep changing rooms and I can't reach my mother. I've never seen a place that doesn't answer the phone. I have called at least 50 times, with the result of reaching a human twice, which is not a good track record. They did call me after she had a fall, but since then they have not called me, even after my calling several times. It is frustrating. The only line that gets answered is the main line into the facility, and they try to be helpful, but they couldn't even tell me what floor my mother was on. And she's not allowed to use the phone in her room to call a different area code, so she can't call me, even though it's still a Jersey number. Really, I am not able to be in communication with her at all.

Coral Harbor is a good starting point. The staff was very good. It does have a more clinical environment. I thought the cleanliness was good. The meals were fair, nothing fancy but they were good for nutrition. They don't keep me in the dark, but it may take some time to get a response.

A Place for Mom has scored Coral Harbor Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center 1 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
