I recommend Coles Supportive Living to relatives concerned about their loved ones well being. I went there as my last resort when really it should have been my first. One of the staff members by the name of [name removed] accommodated my aunt and I around the facility making us feel at home. Being a concerned relative with all of my questions and requirements he was more than patient with me and made sure I got all the answers I needed. Right away he moved my aunt in and to this day I can call and check on her and get the same courtesy as I did on the first day.... Read more

About the facility Coles Supportive Living

Coles Supportive Living has been selected by the Illinois Department of Aging as one of the few Senior Care Facilities to be included in the State of Illinois Supportive Living Program.

Coles Supportive Living Facility strives to promote dignity and independence for Seniors where a state-of-the art environment exists with safe and comfortable surroundings. We strive to meet the needs of our residents by providing quality services and support.

Supportive Living Facilities were created to provide a safe, comfortable, and supportive living environment for Seniors offering the highest level of service and experience while maintaining the individual's independence.

This program was developed to provide lower-income seniors and seniors with disabilities as an alternative to nursing home care. Assisted Living, or as the State of Illinois calls it Supportive Living, is now an option for all seniors, not just the wealthy.

Depending on your financial position and health status, if you qualify Medicaid will reimburse Coles Supportive Living for the cost of Assisted Living care. The program combines apartment style living with personal care and other services. You can live independently; take part in your own decisions while receiving the personal care and attention you require.

NIGHTMARE

This is not a place for your pets let alone for a loved one; I allowed them to move my sister-in-law there last year and it was the worst facility she had been in; she lost 15lbs in the two months and 5 days of her stay; the worst food, the worst nursing staff--do not take your love one to Coles.

These are people who care

Through a referral I found Coles Assisted Living for my brother. He has been there since August 2017 and seems to be adjusting very well. [Removed] and her staff truly care about the people there and they walked with us through every step in getting my brother settled in. My brother was in another facility and it was pretty horrible, the conditions were deplorable and now he is thriving, from the positive energy and interaction with the staff and other residence. I am truly thankful to [Removed] for giving my brother the opportunity to become a part of the Coles family. Keep up the great work!

We Are Getting Good Feedback

My mom is doing fine living in this community. They are able to provide good care that she needs and calling me to keep in contact. My mom like her meals that are served to her. The activities are good enough for her to like and join in. I would recommend this community to my close friends in need.

Still Adjusting a Bit, But Overall A Good Facility

My mother is still adjusting to this community a little bit, but it is a nice place. I do a have my minor concerns, but overall she is in goods. I do need to know what they are supplying her with. She is always asking for extra money to buy things, and she is on a set income. It is a very clean community, they do a great job with the cleanliness of the facility. The staff is very kind, and helpful. They are providing her with great care, and I would recommend this community.

Coles Supportive Living offers Studio. Learn more.

A Place for Mom has scored Coles Supportive Living 8 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.

We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.

Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
