It takes special people who have a gift for serving others and being patient with the elderly to work there! I have seen how management deals with each one with dignity and respect and kindness, even when residents have not spoken kindly to them! They are welcoming and attentive! [Name removed], the maintenance manager, stops in and visits each resident and responds immediately with a solution and a positive attitude and he really is attentive! He couldn't be more kind and loving and helpful! I love how [name removed] has been caring and supportive and communicates with the residents and knows them all by name! [Names removed] support even the family members, with prayer and encouragement! I couldn't be more impressed by such Kind and Loving people! The chefs are extremely accommodating and I haven't seen a better selection or options for feeding so many people at once to keep them all happy and healthy! The variety and taste is top notch! My mom was such a Queen and she was treated like one. The holidays are extra special with buffets and treated like royalty. Although the facility is independent living, each staff member goes above and beyond to help each resident! Everything from cleaning to the transportation services to doctor and shopping to all the activities [name removed] that are planned daily to lawn beautification and security and safety and spirituality and even up to recently grooming (haircuts and mani/pedi) - How could one ask for anything more! I'm sure someone would think of something but seriously, the needs of many are met here! I will be forever grateful for the level of care provided to my mom, making this a perfect place for her! I would recommend Chesterfield Heights Gracious Retirement Living to anyone! My mom felt like family there and made so many friends and thrived there.... Read more

We liked it, it was nice and clean and the people were friendly. It just didn't stand out that much against all the options, they weren't exceptional in price, and were a little outside of the area we wanted to be in.

Visited here and liked it very much and it was close. The managers were very nice and they lived there. They did not have any openings at this time. My daughter is not comfortable with my mom going into an independent living facility because of her Alzheimer's.

Chesterfield Heights is beautiful. The food was better than the Virginian. The price was affordable. We really like this location & was seriously considering the move. Mom was just trying to decide if she wanted to leave her friends at the Virginia. Probably would have moved there in 2014, if mom needs had not required her to have assisted living accommodations.

It's going real well, they call us with anything that happens or goes on and they always look after my grandma. She love it there, she calls it Hollywood and she's participating in activities, loves bingo.

Overall the staff seemed nice. Glenn did a nice job taking Mom and I on the tour and allowed us to have lunch with a recent resident. She was nice and seemed happy about being there. The residents didn't say hello or acknowledge us as much as other locations that we visited. Also since they are near capacity, we had to see an unfinished model and the actual apartment of a resident. Just seemed a little odd. Since all three meals are included in the price, it may be slightly out of Mom's budget.

This place was nice. It doesn't have assisted living. I'm not sure that this would be good for them as they are borderline assisted living. But it was a nice place.

A Place for Mom has scored Chesterfield Heights 8.9 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
