Canfield Place

Frankly, we rate all of these categories at 5. Our experiences with Canfield Place have been great. The staff are friendly, helpful, and caring. They pay attention to the residents, even when they are not specifically serving a resident. That is a part of their routine from front desk to the maintenance people.

I agree to all of the above. Just wish the cost was less. Based on the experience we have had so far with Canfield Place, I would recommend this community to other families who may need a place for their loved ones.

Friendly and a great solid place in the Beaverton area.

My husband and I moved into Canfield Place in June of last year. He passed away in September after receiving very good care here. I am completely independent and a retired nurse but I still need some assistance with good food, housekeeping and laundry which I get here at Canfield Place. They keep us well entertained and busy and if we have questions they deal with those very well. We get exercise programs and emergency care if needed. I could not ask for a more comfortable or better place to live at this time of my life. The staff including the care team dining room servers and all the staff take care of whatever our needs are. I am glad this is my home, I thank God every night for being at Canfield Place.

Canfield is friendly and attentive !! Great activities they have a food special daily but the regular menu gets old fast . Great staff clean place and I feel my mother is in great hands .. I recommend this place

Meals/Dining....[name removed] has a very sensitive taster as well as a very specific idea how things are supposed to taste which seems to change on any given day. Personal comment... I think [name removed] move to Canfield Place puts her in a much better situation than she was in. She has access to more care than she currently needs, and at the same time she is being checked on routinely at various times each day. A practice that is inherent at Canfield Place. She is much more active on a daily basis and frequently participates in the various activities which are available. We are happy that she is living at Canfield Place.

Meals and dining - would appreciate some vegetarian choices. Activities - not as many as they first advertised. Staff could be more inviting and encourage my mom to attend the activities they do have. he care plan points are pretty high even for minimum services. Staff aren't always aware of things spelled out in my moms care plan. Follow through could be a little better. Overall, she is happier there and she thinks the staff are awesome. She has a few friends too and we would recommend this community to others.

I could not of have picked a better community. What I like the most about this community is how well the employees made us feel and how much the people living here appeared to be enjoying themselves.

We felt very well taken care of at Canfield Place. Most meals were excellent but weren't compliant our needs (diabetic) and it was too easy for my father to access bad for him foods. The activities seemed great but my father didn't participate in any. When it comes to the value it overall seemed really affordable

The community is wonderful and the staff are extremely friendly. We feel like the staff are like family. There are lots of care services available for your loved one here. The food services director waited on us during the tour and it was stellar. My loved one enjoys the food options here, and the community is able to accommodate dietary restrictions. There are activities such as religious services, happy hour, and more for the residents to partake in.

It's a great place in a great location. The decor is charming. What I loved the best, was that it was autumn when I was there and I had a window, that I could look out of and watch the beautiful autumn leaves change and blow in the wind. The food is terrific. The young people were for the most part positive and willing to help. I didn't need any medical help but they were there for laundry and straightening the room, prompt meal service, etc. A staff member arrived soon after I pushed the button. I had rides to my appointments and there was no problem. I thank this place and I'm hoping to stay at one of their similar respite care facilities after my next surgery.

We were left to believe everything would be fine but we got in here and everyone disappeared. There has been absolutely no follow up and we have not seen any of the staff who we interviewed with in the beginning. Every time I reach out for something, I do get any type of response from the staff. My loved one tried to do some of the activities and other residents were not kind to him. There is no monitoring or encouragement to get them out of their room like we were hoping for. We are very, very disappointed with our experience. We want the best for our loved ones and they are sitting in an apartment that they hate and it makes us really upset.

mom and dad are very pleased and staff is accommodating. mom's getting involved in activities, which I'm very pleased with.

This is a safe place with good views of changing leaves. It takes a little while getting used to the young people coming after the assistance button is pushed. Some of the caregivers was good about checking on you and some of them were very quick to leave after checking on you. The staff didn't give any help for an exit plan, and they would want to take over at anytime they walked in. It just was disappointing they didn't check on how I was doing. I felt on my own here, except when I would push the button for assistance. The food was good.

We chose Canfield Place because I liked that it had a more homey atmosphere and it is a smaller facility with more personalized care. It is a really beautiful facility and the rooms are very nice. The staff are polite and friendly and I would definitely recommend to others, I am trying to get another family member in here.

This community is all about relationships and they value kindness and they are very patient with all of the residents. They don't seem to care they really do care is how I feel about this community with my loved one.
