Brookdale Windsor

[name removed], the Health and Wellness Director, is fantastic, and gives me the majority of my confidence in having a parent there. [name removed] and [name removed] as well are incredible people that have been graceful and fair in our dealings with them. I could laundry list compliments for the whole staff, but that'd be a long list. I'm not without apprehensions, but I think that's just the nature of the circumstance of having a loved one in a facility of that nature and the financial stresses that come with it; but those working there seriously do a great job of making those stresses secondary to the benefits she receives while there.

I would say that I would highly recommend the Brookdale facility in Windsor, especially if the person needing the facility is social. The staff and Management Team are exceptional and I trust that Mom is being well taken care of; I wish she had been ready sooner, the adjustment has been hard on her but she just turned 98 so any change would be a lot now. The food is also delicious; again, Mom's narrow palate is the problem, not the food.

I would say it's a great place and I feel comfortable with my mom's care. Nicer facility, cleaner, friendlier staff who are willing to work with you. Also the price was right. They were willing to work with the price since my mom is low income and has no assets.

It was an interesting trial the first month of our loved one moving in, we didn't feel like she got enough attention right off the bat. We do know they were having some personnel issues and being understaffed as well as hiring new directors. However, the new health and wellness director is amazing, she is so great and fabulous. Anytime we come to her for questions, concerns, complaints she handles it immediately. She is always on top of everything which has made things improve immensely. We would say unless your loved one does not need a lot of assistance this would be the place for them. Brookdale will give you all the care you need, but you need to really stay on top of things to make sure it is getting done. Our loved one also really enjoys the activities.

Everybody was wonderful, both the staff and the residents. There are a lot of good doctors available in the office building right next door in the parking lot, so that's very convenient for appointments. There is also a CVS and a Safeway and a whole bunch of little stores just half a block away across the parking lot, all close enough to walk to. The food looked and smelled good. They offered lots of activities. It's a great value. Brookdale Windsor has an option for people who are low income to get some money back. The staff told us about that and were helping us to get that set up, which was saving us a considerable amount per month. And that's not something that's available everywhere.

I would tell others that the staff is very friendly. Dealing with [name removed]at the beginning was great. She always returned calls or emails promptly. Move-in was easy even during COVID. They have been helpful and understanding. My mom enjoys the food and says it is really good.

I like this community but they only offer assisted living. I would recommend the community to others.

Wonderful place. Clean, bright, well laid out. Staff was happy and helpful. Rooms were roomy, bathrooms roomy. Highly recommend.

Very nice facility. Staff and residents were very friendly and full of information to share. [Name removed] and [name removed] went the extra mile with helping our family with the paperwork and qualifying procedures. Dining room was very clean and food was great. The facility has a lot to offer, laundry areas, rec rooms, library, hair salon/barber, shuttle services, game nights, movie nights, outings, etc. Beautiful facility with excellent staff!

My loved one only stayed briefly at Brookdale Windsor. He became ill and we had to move him to another community. Brookdale Windsor took good care of him while he was there. The staff was friendly and caring. He wasn't able to enjoy the meals or participate in the activities provided. He spent a lot of time away from the community doing other outside activities and hadn't fully acclimated to his new place. At Brookdale Windsor they were good about making sure he took his medication in a timely manner. We are not sure whether he will be returning here after rehab.

I am happy with the care here at this community for my mom. The meals are outstanding and she likes the nice variety. I like the nice activities for her to participate. I like that she is ale to get out from the community and take small trips. We would recommend this community to other families for great care with a good value. We like that is it closer for us to visit more ofter.

I had a nice tour of this community. The community looked nice and clean. Staff was very kind and friendly. It just wasn't what my mother needed at the time. Overall this is a nice community for the right person.

This is a nice community. Alittle smaller then what we were looking for. The staff was very nice and helpful. They do have activities for those who want to participate. I would recommend this care to others.

My Aunt has only been here for a very short while but I think she will be happy here. A lovely facility. The residents are pretty active and friendly. Studio apartment is quite spacious

The Brookdale Windsor just misrepresented all of the medical services that they offer at the facility. What I expected, in terms of the level of care that I was paying for, I did not receive from them.

We moved my mother here after the previous community she lived in closed. For one, we were able to move her for almost the exact same rate as the previous community. The residence is very nice, clean, and the staff is great. They are extremely nice! Chancellor has allowed many more opportunities for my mother, like a variety of activities and onsite physical therapy. The food is nutritious, small portions, but it has helped my mother's health improve since she moved in. She was able to move into a great room on the ground floor and is close to the dining hall. Also, there is a wonderful garden in the back that is very accessible. Overall, I have been very impressed!

It was small and I had my debates about that because it was very quiet and the energy wasn't that great. They had those big garbage cans out in the hallways. The cost was considerably less but here were just too many things that just turned me off about it.
