Brookdale Williamsville

I'd say my biggest complaint would be the lack of communication. The front staff has been great. Some of the nurses and aids that work with residents can be difficult to deal with or just generally unfriendly. My mom does not like to shower and they tend to let her go longer than they should without a shower. I expected more because the cost was pretty high

When looking for a place for my father-in-law, we were overwhelmed with the decisions that we had to make. When we took a virtual tour of Brookdale Williamsville, we were impressed with everything we heard but more important, we were impressed with the sales and marketing manager, she made us feel very comfortable. She answered every question we had, without referring us to other people. Every time I call there with a question, whoever answers the phone, has the answer, without putting us on hold. I'm so impressed with the closeness of the staff, and that I don't have to chase people down for answers. And the most important part...they take good care of dad, and he's happy there! They make you feel like family.....

The nursing staff is very good. They seem to know if they need to call the hospital or if they can handle it themselves. The activity list is very good, but they don't always do the ones that are on the list. (0% of the time they do, but not all the time. Mom absolutely loves the food served. They make them right there in the facility. I would highly recommend Brookdale Williamsville, this is 100x better than where she was at previously.

This facility is very good. It's a smaller facility, which is a better fit for mom. They've been very welcoming here. My mom can be a challenging person in general, but they care for her well. They even find humor in it and find a way to make her laugh. Mom is picky, but the food is good quality. They have activities going on all the time, she just chooses not to participate. They do housekeeping maybe weekly, but I do notice that often her room isn't super clean. It's average, but I notice crumbs and other little messes. Communication with the family is a bit lacking, but it's gotten better. They just got a new Executive Director, so I know she's still settling in. I haven't had the pleasure of meeting her yet. Mom has been here a little over three months and I just got a letter about a rate increase. I know from touring other places during our search that there are places that cost less. So we'll have to see how that goes. I will say, they do give mom a lot of attention here. There are a few aides that even go out of their way for her. I think I would recommend them to friends and family.

We chose Brookdale Williamsville because they came recommended and when we went to visit it seemed like a nice place. When we walked in it was very clean and the staff were very friendly. The facility itself is well laid out. The staff seem to be really engaging with the residents. I would recommend them to other families.

Right now I'm only disappointed in their activities. They have a calendar of activities, but I never see them happening during the posted time - other than when they bring in outside musicians, but that only happens three times a month. The staff are pretty good, although it's unclear to me what each person's credentials are. But they all seem friendly and willing to help.

The staff members have been really nice to work with and we are very happy with the care our loved one has been receiving. Based on our experience so far with Brookdale Williamsville we would recommend this community to other families.

All very nice. All needs were met. The staff is friendly, and answered calls quickly. My loved one, never complained about anything. She enjoyed the activities, especially singing. They were expensive but the value was very good. I highly reccomend this place. We were able to visit, and take her out to lunch. Overall, my loved on was extremely comfortable, and she said, " If I ever have to go back, I want to go there."

I am very impressed with Brookdale Williamsville. The cleanliness, friendliness, food, and the layout are all amazing features of the community. I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones. The staff are good to work with if I have questions or concerns about my loved one. They are very attentive and go out of their way to have things run smoothly for my loved one and the family. The staff are good at making sure my loved one is ready for when I need to pick them up for a doctor's appointment. The food is good for my loved one. I have been very impressed with what I have seen for options for meals. They even provide snacks for the residents three times a day. Medication management and reminders are a couple of the care types that the community is able to provide for my loved one. The apartment, laundry, changing of linens, housekeeping, utilities, all the meals, and activities is all included in the monthly fee.

This is a top notch community that really cares about the residents. They provide a safe and comfortable environment. They seem to take care of their residents well. The staff is great to work with and I can always reach someone to answer or address my questions or concerns. Cooking, exercise, discussion groups, and more for activities for the residents to choose from. The community is secure and the residents are able to walk the hallways, they can sit in common areas, or even go to the courtyard to enjoy the sun.

Everybody is very helpful. The place is very clean. They get residents involved in activities and group meetings where they discuss things. My father loves it there.

My loved one had a short stay at Brookdale Williamsville, but I really liked them. I would stay there myself if I needed to. They were absolutely wonderful to me throughout the whole process. When my loved one was in the hospital, the staff reached out to me - called and texted - to check on her care while she was there, and also to check on me and how I was doing as well. And I really appreciated that.

The care for my loved one is there. Sometimes it is tough to get through on a phone call to the staff. I understand the COVID visiting restriction of 30 minutes; however, I don't care for it. They have bingo and arts and crafts for activities. It would be nice to have a monthly calendar of activities offered for residents.

If I could rate the staff higher I would rate them higher because they are amazing. I have not tried the meals but my loved one is satisfied and likes the meals. Also my loved one is always offered an opportunity to participate in any activities.

Brookdale Williamsville community It is a little on the expensive, but they would have lunch-ins for the residents, and themed holiday dinners, like thanksgiving and mothers day. They would have games and puzzles they could do in their rooms. Our loved one never complained about the food they served. The rooms are average in size, and they were able to decorate their the rooms. What stood out to us most when we first visited was how friendly the staff was, and how informative they were.

Wonderful facility. They keep all residents engaged and active. Food is better than most facilities. Care is excellent. Medical staff is attentive. I have not encountered a single employee who is not well suited to the unique needs of the residents. I highly recommend Brookdale to anyone in need of memory care or dementia care services.

We were very glad to get my wife out of there and into Fredonia Place, a wonderful improvement and so much better value, care and friendlyness.
