Brookdale South Bay

The finance and billing is horrific but the Wellness Director is awesome. The Sales Manager is awesome and I truly like the place, however it is just to expensive. Based on the experience I have had so far, I would recommend this community to other families.

My mom is currently a resident at Brookdale South Bay. I would definitely recommend this place to others. The communication with the family is great, along with a very friendly staff. They made my mom feel at home quickly.

Mixed feelings, not sure they were ready when my parents showed up. Lack of returning emails or calls. But I felt they were in safe hands. We thought my parents would like it and stay long term.

Everyone seems so nice, even a few months later! And they provide very good care.

My family and I have toured many assisted living facilities in search of the right fit for my parents and this is it! The sales staff are low-key, friendly, kind and authentic, not pushy, and they seem to genuinely care for all of their residents. I love the relaxed low-key living atmosphere that's not too flashy, but is more homey. Most importantly I get the sense that while they greatly encourage the residents to get involved in activities exercise and entertainment, they do not cram those down the throats of the residents, but instead allow them to be themselves, and choose what they want to do, an extremely underrated value of a home like this! We're very happy with our choice and look forward to a great experience here.

We have to say they are very attentive to our loved ones needs, that part has been really good so far. However sometimes they are just so unorganized which can be a negative when it comes to the overall communication with the nursing team. You really have to stay on top of them sometimes.

I cannot say enough good things about South Bay. The skilled nursing area is clean and inviting. I feel so comfortable with the care they provide- I visited frequently, unannounced and was never disappointed. Their patients are loved and well cared for. The social worker is a strong advocate and excellent communicator. Activities daily so there is not that somber, nursing homey feel. It’s refreshing! I don’t have much experience with their assisted living but from what I’ve seen it’s equally as well cared for and the staff seems to be the same.

What a cozy, quaint place! It is obvious that all of the staff get to know all of their residents and visa versa. From the moment I walked through the door, I could tell that everyone was genuinely happy there. Highly recommend this assisted living!

One thing that really stood out to us was the friendliness of the staff, and the overall homey feeling the community had. The rooms are good they are clean and have a welcoming feeling to them. The food was pretty good for the most part.

nice, well kept community. Residents were about but relaxed. ALL staff seemed vested in community well being. Sales staff kind and not pushy. Community areas were very nice and cozy. Bathrooms built for safety. Rooms provide safe and comfortable autonomy, but, if needed, help is seconds away.

My tour of the Brookdale South Bay went very well. The lady that I met with gave me a lot of helpful information as well as answering all of my questions. This community would be great for anyone, but it was not as close to my home as other ones that I toured.

The staff work hard here to make things come together. They can use some work on getting the food to you that you order. Other than that I have had no problems with anything. The community is clean and so is my room.

I would say good plus .This review is not for the assisted living facility but the Health center skilled nursing facility located within it. Great caring aides good food quality and selection. Good management and small facility feel. Very Very happy we have our family member there. They do not accept medicaid and they are not over crowed with small rooms like the places that take medicaid. If you have to pay you might as well have a better place. Very good value.

We toured this community when we were looking into senior living options for a loved one. This was a very nice looking place, overall! We toured a few different Brookdale communities and we were impressed with all of them. New England Bay Retirement Living is clean, well kept, and the people we worked with all seemed friendly!

They have been doing a very good job. They are clean and friendly. They do a good job. He has been here a month now and hasn't fallen once, not one trip to the emergency room.

OUR TOUR FELT LIKE WE WERE HOME. HAIQOUHI WAS VERY DETAILED IN INFORMING US OF ALL THE SERVICES AND ACTIVITIES. IT WAS GOOD TO SEE THE RESIDENTS MOVING ABOUT AND HAVING SOME INTERACTION WITH THEM AS WELL. THE RESIDENTS COMMENTS WERE ALWAYS POSITIVE AND THEY WERE EXTREMLY FRIENDLY. THE FEELING OF 'HOME' IS TRULY FELT. LUNCH WAS EXCELLENT AND ALL STAFF APPEARED TO RECOGNIZE AND ACKNOWLEDGE US. HAIQOUHI IS TRULY AN ASSET TO BUILDING A COMMUNITY, FIRST FOR THE RESIDENTS AND THEN FOR STAFF. A VERY POSITIVE EXPERIENCE.
