Brookdale Skyline

Best apartment layouts for both IL and AL in the city. Feels less like AL or nursing home than any other facility. Caring, "work with you" staff.

We chose this facility because of the military discount. They also provide all levels of care. The kitchen staff seems to be short handed. Overall it is a positive experience. I would recommend Brookdale Skyline.

All 5's ! We haven't moved in yet but we are planning to be there on [date removed]. We liked the fact that they had a little cottage available at the time we were looking! We had been on a waiting list in Pueblo, but we were delighted to find one available now. And the marketers that we talked to are very positive about diversity. We have lots of gay friends and wanted to be sure that that would not be a problem. We would be happier if there were more racial diversity, but income levels probably preclude that.

The building is nice and the residents are very kind but getting any help for your loved one is almost impossible and they are way over priced. My loved one yelled for help for over a half hour until someone showed up. My loved one picked this place. She liked the layout of the apartment and the look of the facility.

This is the only facility in Colorado Springs that offers all 4 levels of care. Independent living has about 200 apartments, Assisted living, memory care, and rehabilitation and nursing care. There is move along progression as needed I will also note that they give discounts to military!!! I would recommend Brookdale Skyline.

The Brookdale Skyline community is all good!! Everybody here is exceptionally friendly and helpful! You bet I would recommend this community to other families based on the experience I have had so far.

The staff are friendly but they tell you yes with no interaction of follow through and the staff has a high turnover. After three months we still can't get a weekly caregivers schedule. We pay for 14 hours a day for private caregiving care, but we can't get a schedule in a timely manner. When it comes to the meals and dining service they don't follow instructions, the doctor told the kitchen staff that my dad needs his food cut up. They do not do it.

It is a really great place, they do an amazing job in all areas. It does not feel like a typical nursing home/assisted living facility. The whole place has a much more homey vibe to it. Even if you are in assisted living, it feels like independent. The apartments are the largest that we found anywhere we looked. Because they were built as retirement homes for military, they do not have an institutional feel, they feel more like a condo. Even in assisted living they have balconies. I would highly recommend Brookdale Skyline to others.

While our loved one was a resident at Brookdale Skyline they experienced a lot of turnover rate - which we understand is happening everywhere. However there was a lot of miscommunication and a lot of billing issues. When it came to the medical side of things it just did not quite meet our expectations. The apartment our loved one had though was beautiful.

This place is good, it has a good atmosphere and we're very happy with it. Cleanliness is very good. Communication with the family is good. I would recommend them to friends and family.

I was impressed from the very beginning with the staff. They are taking care of mom's needs quickly. I live 300 miles away, so communicating is key. They always respond to my questions even when I know they are very busy. I am impressed with the staff at Bloom as well. Love the house calls.
