Brookdale Midland

Knowledgeable, courteous, friendly, caring, and supportive staff. Residents smiling at visitors and ready to welcome new friends to their home. Food smelled wonderful and the dining room was most inviting.

I love the family oriented feeling I get when I walk into the community. And everyone is friendly and helpful. When I am ready for my parent to be in assisted living, this is where I will come. They have a big backyard with beautiful plants and flowers.

There is a new director, and I'm keeping close watch as we're seeing that things are changing. I'm getting reports of having to wait quite a while for food after ordering, 45 min or more. I think this has improved - but I'm not sure. My main and biggest complaint has been around their online billing system. That being said - I think the people and community have been great. Even so, it has been a hard transition.

My family member has been extremely happy. He's the sociable type and has made great friends. The care is excellent. He gets a lot of attention. The only problem he's encountered is they have a lot of trouble with their boilers and from time to time have been out of hot water. I think they're working on it, but that has been an issue. Overall it has been an excellent place to stay.

They have been a great staff. When we call , they check on my mom and respond to us promptly. She says the food is great and the offer a variety in restaurant style dining. My mom doesn't participate in a lot of activities, but she is enjoying the morning walk activity. We chose this community the because the atmosphere is bright, comfy, and homey. I would recommend this community to other families.

You, as a family member, have to monitor the staff to be sure they are doing what they are supposed to be doing. The staff are very friendly and caring people. The food is decent and offer a variety. The community is clean and pretty. We chose this community because the staff seemed caring and kind and the accommodations seemed to be what we needed.

We have a loved one in this facility. She loves the staff but, for the amount of money that is paid to live here (a lot!), the food is poor. It was decided that it was a good idea to put her in this facility so that she could receive three hot meals a day. Many nights she is eating cereal in her room because what is served is poor quality, lacking in variety or not even fresh (never any seasonal fresh fruits and vegetables). This past week she was served ham three times! They have had "Menu Talks" and nothing has changed from these "talks". We have loved ones in another Brookdale Senior Living facility in Houston. Both groups were served "Roast beef" in their perspective complexes within days of each other. Both could not cut the beef and sent it back! Our loved one here got a cheese sandwich in lieu of her hot meal. The value of what is paid for food does not equate to what is received!

I am very forunate that I was able to work out a pricing deal here at Brookdale and did not have to make a move. This community and the staff here are great. I enjoy being around all the staff and residents here, I like the activities, the entertainment and my apt is a nice size with a sink and refrigerator. I like going to the dining room and they have a varity on the menu to pick from. I'm glad I'll be staying and recommend this community.

We toured this community for my parents, and their needs. The tour went well for the most part. Everyone was nice too my family, and I. The community looked nice, but the room they showed us was too little for my parents. The staff treated us well, and answered my questions. It was a nice experience, but it was not the right fit for my parents, and their needs.

Brookdale Midland will be a great choice for my sister. She has a few physical frailties that need assisted living, and Brookdale has care that will be able to handle them. She is a dog lover and they have a "Community" dog on the premises that will afford her much pleasure as well as opportunity to train, since she used to train German Shepherds in her past years. Midland also provides family connections and Brookdale's address is close by and easily accessible. the staff has been VERY outgoing and we look forward to her becoming a part of their community. This seemed to be an active community when we visited. They offer arts and crafts and have gala dinners. They seem to go all out with their activities. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. This community just seemed a little overwhelming for my loved one.

We had to move my mother out of this community, due to the lack of care she was receiving. The only person we had issues with was the director of nursing. It was a disappointing experience overall, and i would not recommend this community.

Everything seems to be going fine since my mother made the move to Brookdale Midland. My sister is the one close by and she visits her often, she ahs mentioned to me that everything is going well. The meals provided are good, mom is eating well.

I had a nice tour of this community. I toured it for my mother, and her needs. The community looked nice, and clean. Everything was well-kept. The staff was kind, and polite. Unfortunately this wasn't the right community for my mother, but my tour went well overall.

We are very happy with the carte from the excellent staff. The community has a good feeling and we like that this community is clean. The variety of meals is outstanding and very healthy. the do offer a lot of great activities that are being enjoyed. We would highly recommend this community to other families for great care.
