Brookdale Lodi

Honestly I do not know how other places are run. My mom who was 84yrs old. Was there 4 months, and passed away. She was constantly in and out of ER almost every week. With UTIs and prolasped bowel. But MOSTLY UTIs. They also billed for her care improperly on several occasions. My mom passed away [date removed] and I'm still waiting on a check from not properly billing her. They had some very good people. But most not so much.

Zero communication. When I brought my husband to brookdale, they management told me that they had end of life care. The last two weeks of my husband's life the staff helped me rather than I helped them. Even with hospice, the staff looked to me for feeding, diapering etc. It was the most horrific 6 weeks of my husbands life and mine.

I love the inside. It's so bright and welcoming. I'd say the food is not as good as it used to be, but based on the experience we have had I would definitely recommend this community to other families.

They are understaffed in the caregiver department. caregivers on each shift is not enough for all the people. The patients have to wait for care. The girls are extremely busy.

Very friendly staff, food seems very good. The place looks and smells very clean. Communication with the family has been interesting, at times. But overall, we are so much happier where she's at than we were at the last place. I like that they offered a discount when we signed our loved one up. So it's cheaper than the last place and soooo much nicer. It's bright, open and they do things with the residents. They encourage them to get out of their rooms. I would definitely recommend Brookdale Lodi to others.

The initial meeting was wonderful. I walked in and was very clean and homey. I needed a place for my husband ASAP. If your loved one is not fully capable of taking care of themselves find another place.

The staff is wonderful and very friendly. The food looks really good. They offer tons of activities, although my loved one does not really participate much. We picked this community because, we were reffered by someone else. My advice to other families, is to go take a look at the community, it is beautiful.

They could definitely use some improvements. I think that they should explain things better in detail in the beginning process, especially with the billing. We have had some major issues with that.

This is one of the best places to live at. The staff are very friendly. The shortage of staff can be kind of frustrating but Brookdale is constantly hiring new people to stay on top of the issue to resolve the shortage.

It has been really difficult to get inside the community due to the covid restrictions, but when we are able to we can go see our loved ones apartment, and it is messy. There is stuff piling up on the counters, old dishes and crumbs. It is just not as tidy as it should be especially for the value we are paying month to month. Our loved ones do complain about the food, they say the breakfast is really good but what they serve for lunch and dinner is not. It is served late and could, however they are also choosing to not go down to the dining room to eat. We do know they offer activities, however our loves one just choose not to participate and stay in their rooms.

Had a tour of the facility and it seemed well run and was clean. Stopped by at lunch time, the dining area seemed to have sufficient amount of attendants. Food looked ok.Rooms small with a small refrigerator and microwave.No balcony.

The staff are doing a good job for my aunt who is very happy living at this community. Everything that is provided and offered for her is just fine.

We have been through 3 owners and now Brookdale. Horrible [Removed]. Checks sent take two months to cash. Very little activities anymore. Used to have folks visiting with entertainment, now I see little. Great Med techs who seem to do everything. With Alzheimer's they need some more RA's. Clean and good meals but with the money fiasco, it makes me very nervous and I have private part-time caregiver who checks on Mom daily.

When we first got to the Brookdale, we really liked the place. It was nice and clean. After they invited us to have lunch and that is what completely changed our minds. We were ignored we just sat there. Then I noticed that the residents were being ignored as well during meals time. It was a difference of night and day compared to the community we actually chose.

My mother needed additional care so we looked at Brookdale. The facility is clean and cheery. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. My mother's health and disposition improved within a few days. After 2 weeks I noticed she seems happier and is making new friends. I would recommend Brookdale to anyone looking for a place for a parent or loved one.

All of the staff members working at the Brookdale Lodi facility have just been very helpful and courteous to my loved one and the family and they all seem to be doing their job properly, so I have no complaints.

They really helped us through a difficult time. Very caring, professional staff. Mom seems to be doing very well!

They were very friendly and helpful when we were searching for a place to put my loved one in. They were good with evaluating her and making her feel welcomed and my mother is very happy there at Brookdale.
