Brookdale Hamilton

Staff is friendly and compassionate. Facility clean and inviting. My mother's private room was a generous size, including the bathroom. Both with plenty of closet space.

I am very pleased overall with Brookdale. The staff is good with the residents and always available to speak with me. My questions are always answered and issues addressed. I was happy to find that almost all his medical needs can be taken care of there, nurse practitioner, PT therapist, psychologist, podiatrist, eye doctor, dentist, hairdresser. I usually visit my brother late morning and there is never a problem speaking with any of the staff. They know me and I know them. I can't tell you how much that means to me. I have the nurse's numbers and can call or text them and always receive a prompt reply. No place is perfect and there's been a couple minor things but I really am pleased with the staff at Brookdale. Even the director there has an open door policy.

My husband entered Brookdale on [date [removed] and our experience thus far has been positive. I visit every day and see that he remains relatively active and safe and that staff do engage with him as appropriate. We have been dealing with some adjustment issues but that is to be expected, I think. The nursing, OT and activity staff are wonderful as they deal with a very difficult population. The care staff (aides) vary in their approaches so that we continue to learn how to communicate some of my husband's needs to each of them. They are familiar with his overall situation and do help him cope with his anxiety. The dining experience is not always satisfactory as some meals have been less than fulfilling. I have talked to the nursing staff about this and the situation is slowly improving. The behavior of some of the residents during meals can be very disruptive and the meal staff are stretched too thin to handle serving food and giving individual care at the same time.

My husband has been a resident since January 2024. I have been very pleased with the response of the “team” in regards to all aspects of my husband’s care. The nurses, aides and general staff are all caring and compassionate. As this is a smaller residential facility that deals with only Dementia and Alzheimer’s patients the staff gets to know each resident individually and creates a care plan best suited for his/her individual needs. My husband benefits greatly from the interaction with the staff and the daily activities that are planned by the very capable Activities Director and team. The head of food services and staff have also worked closely with my husband to create accommodations and modifications needed to allow him to have a pleasant dining experience. I have also been welcomed into the community and have begun to create connections that support me as a caregiver. My husband and I spend quality time together now due to the help of everyone at Brookdale Hamilton.

Welcomed every day with happy faces! The meals are individualized and appealing. My husband is adjusted and content. Sales manager is professional and involved. There are always fun activities planned. This spring there are beautiful flowers to welcome us before we get in the door!

Very knowledgeable ofnexts steps for me. Including guidance, tour of facility. Meet with some residents and staff. Sales manager [name removed] has a wealth of knowledge and shared several of her contact information with me. I feel like I now have e a clearer path in this journey

My mom loves her home at Brookdale HAMILTON Her daughter loves that is is always kept in the loop on moms care. Activities are exceptional Mom loves her dining experience. She feels like she os on a restaurant. Mom enjoys the assigned seating.

My brother is a resident at Brookdale Hamilton. I have found the entire staff to be very helpful. Everyone is friendly and helpful. They worked with us and answered all of our questions. I feel that they do care about their residents. Every time I go to see my brother, I'm usually talking to several staff members. They always stop to let me know how he's doing. I'm very pleased with the communication. The move in process wasn't too bad. More stressful leaving him there than anything. I have not tried the food and my brother complains about everything, but it looks good and they even have snacks if they want them. The housekeeping is okay overall. I would recommend Brookdale Hamilton to others. No place is perfect, but I am pleased overall.

The experience my family and loved one had a good experience with the Brookdale. Brookdale is a wonderful memory care and assisted living community. The staffing ratio to residents is not appropriate for the true medical needs of senior care.

The transition and intake process was handled exceptionally well with both resident and family in mind. Staff is fantastic with communication. The facility lay out is the main reason that we chose Brookdale Hamilton. it is all on one floor, circular floor plan that allows the residents to wander at their will. There is also a garden patio in the middle that they have access to weather permitting. We liked that they could move in and outside as they wished. My 90 year old father could sit outside on the patio and even eat there.

We're so relieved to find a small memory care facility for Dad to receive care.

The community already had a good reputation but I wanted to see for myself. It was better than expected. They are experts in the field. Thank you to Brookdale. You have provided me with the information that I need to make this decision

My loved one only spent about a month here, but overall it was a pretty good experience. The cleanliness got a lower score because they were in the middle of renovations. I personally would recommend anyone to go here. I think in the future when renovations are done, it will all come together and be great. The staff were wonderful during our time here.

It has been great experience for us. There are three meals a days served along with snacks for the residents. The residents have choices to choose from for meals. There is a family day once a month for the family to join in on. The staff communication has been great and they are responsive to our questions and concerns.

I chose this place because it's clean, the people care, and because it's small. there are only 50 beds in this facility so it does not feel like an institution that takes in a hundred plus people. it is older, but I personally like that because you've got history with the staff since its been there a while, and they aren't hiring all new people. some people like brand new, but older appeals to me because of the history there and they know what they're doing. I don't necessarily like the fact that they are a corporation, but I have faced the reality that that's the way business is done today and is necessary for survival as a senior living community. I don't think that's any different than any place else, there are very few independently ran places. everyone is terrific, its just that I sometimes feel that they have a lack of staff or staffing issues, but everyone has staffing issues right now and trouble finding good quality help. when it comes to the staff that they do have - there are always a few bad apples out the bunch - but the staff that I interact with most of the time are so kind with the residents, have been there a long time and have a caring nature. they could do a bit better with their activities, although they are offered consistently there are times I visit and there's nothing going on. the one person who really contributed towards that is now working with a new community, so it was sad to see her go, but that kind of thing happens. overall, its a great place but there's always room for improvement. I would absolutely recommend this community to others.
