Brookdale Fort Collins Assisted Living

The floor staff is always friendly. they do seem to turn over on a regular basis. the administrative staff has turned over multiple times since my parents have been there. we have mainly had communication issues with the administrative staff They could improve on the food by following more feedback from the residents, I know they can only do this to an extent but it would help if they threw the residence a bone once in a while based off requests. and the menus can get repetitive.

The pharmacy costs that weren't explained to us. The activities have been much less than what was explained to us. I have tried to help with activities but the people in that department are rarely in their office. You have a great staff and the facility is very nice.

Very good social culture and friendliness between residents, and between staff and residents. Mom is very social and preferred and likes the set meal times vs coming and going at any time or wide time ranges.

The staff is friendly, sometimes difficult to reach by phone. Response time to a call button is sometimes long. The food is okay. The housekeeping seems to be okay. Communication is pretty good. Overall, we would recommend Brookdale.

Well... Unfortunately it was not a good experience. Medication management has been awful with many days of missing meds. Food has gone downhill. There are wonderful staff members but issues don't seem to get resolved.

When it comes to the value for cost, the reason we rated it a 4 is because I question - does it really cost [fee removed] to care for someone that has dementia? However, based on the experience we have had so far with Brookdale Fort Collins Assisted Living, we would recommend them to other families.

Seem to be struggling with understaffing and turnover just like all the other assisted living places, however, based on the experience we have had so far we would recommend the Brookdale Fort Collins Assisted Living community to other families.

My transition to Assisted Living was very smooth. I have made new friends and appreciate the staff support.

we really like how all of the residents watch out for each other and really care for each other. We do think and we do understand that it can be difficult but they could just improve their overall communication with the family members.

I've been here approximately [dates removed]. The employees are helpful, courteous and kind. The meals are good. I enjoy participating in games, especially memory games. Would like to have more of these. I also appreciate the staff that does a good job cleaning the rooms

Brookdale's staff is marvelous. my dad especially loves the size of his room. they could maybe improve on serving the meals a bit faster and ensuring that they are hot. overall, they've done a fantastic job; my dad is safe here and well taken care of.

I was disappointed in the level of communication from the administration. I was also very disappointed in the turn overs and what I was told by the original staff no longer mattered because the people I first met were no longer there any more. There have also been services added without my knowledge resulting in some higher charges. The lack of response to my mothers plan of care and my cost due to the services just did not sit right with me.

From our understanding the food was okay but not great. Our loved one did like participating in the exercise classes but eventually those were shut down due to covid. It was nice for us that it was a month to month setting and our loved one did not need to be there for a set period of time. It was only temporary and they were more then willing to work with us.

We chose Brookdale Fort Collins in the beginning because they had availability. My dad also took a tour and he liked it. I think that Brookdale is good at basic skilled care. It is black or white, you either need to go in not needing much care or need a lot of care. If you are in the middle, it can get complicated. The staff members did take good care of my dad and were very diligent. The director is also very hands on and connected to the residents and family members. Overall, I would recommend this facility.

The director and the guy who gave us the tour seemed to be very interested, not just to sell you something but to make it very welcoming. The rooms seemed very good, it was bigger then expected, and it had all the amenities we wanted.

Everything is going very well for my client. She has settled in and is enjoying her new surroundings. She is finding the staff and residents to be very friendly and nice she feels very welcomed. The food is good no complaints.

I love it here! It is very clean and very homelike. I feel like I'm in my own apartment. They helped me get all of my knick knacks put away on my bookshelves. There are numerous activities to participate in, my favorite is Bingo! They take us out to go shopping where I love to buy pies, and Target is nearby so that I can satisfy my chocolate cravings. There are lots of delicious food choices, Boston cream pie is my favorite dessert. The staff and caregivers are very helpful. I'm making friends and trying to learn all of their names. I feel very safe and secure, even though they have provided shower chairs inside the shower, there is always someone nearby to help you if needed. I would definitely recommend this community.

My mother was only in this community for a short period of time, but while she was there we where very pleased with how things went for him. The staff where amazing and helped her recover from surgery comfortably. I could have not asked for a better place for her too go. They provided all of her meals which really helped the process of her getting better. Overall we are very grateful and would recommend it to anyone.
