There are some hidden costs that are not explained when you commit to the contract. Also, it is somewhat difficult to get a list of what the add ons cost. My sister had some difficulties understanding some of the staff, as English was a second language. If someone is able to function with minimal assistance, it is fine. Just be aware that costs will increase if you need help with bathing medication and getting to the dining room with assistance. They did help her negotiate her first week there. She called it "assist yourself living. " All in all, my sister liked it .

Administration very kind and community oriented. But we’re we’re sort of lead to believe this would work for someone cognitively ok and needing a social atmosphere to go along with that but in need of rehab. Didn’t work out. The CNAs were not really willing to work with rehab services to assist in allowing resident to work on well -“rehabbing” during ADLs etc. They had no patience at all-and to be fair -they probably didn’t sign up for that level of care. So many things went wrong that we moved to a nursing home. Not ideal mentally and emotionally but safer and more equipped physically to be sure. Also, Medicare considers this type of place to be a “home” so beware when rehab services are needed. They will be very limited. BUT after all that if you are strictly looking for assisted living for fairly independent person they are probably the best place in the area.

Nice people but they upped the price $[removed] a month because my mother had trouble finding her way back to her room in the first month of her being there. It seems like if there’s any problem at all, they just up the price.

The only area I had issues with was value and cost. They told me if I signed up for renting for a month and she left after 2 weeks I'd get 50% back but I didn't. They tried to force her to stay a month but I told her she could leave after 2 weeks and so she did.

I found that there are some hidden costs that are not made evident up front. The pricing for extras is like a big secret, and I had to go to the top to find out what the add-ons are. So far, my loved one is doing well. However, I have to keep on top of extra costs such as having meals sent to her room when she is not feeling well.

My mom is very happy so far at Brookdale. It's a great place. We picked this community because of the cost and location, she is much closer to me now than when she lived in her house.

I can only comment on the memory care unit. The staff at the front desk was always pleasant and helpful. It also appeared the the clients on the assisted living side of facility were happy and content. However, behind the closed doors of the memory care unit it was another story. My mom was a resident for about 10 months and in April of 2022 she was hurt so badly that she was in the hospital for 2.5 weeks and then in rehab for another 30days. We did not send her back. The staff claimed that my mom got sick in bed and when 2 staff members got her up to clean her, she became combative and fell into a wall. My mom was 89 years old, 4’8” tall, 90 pounds. In addition, she was very weak after being sick (she had pneumonia). Sorry, don’t buy it. Prior to the incident, I was less than satisfied with the care she got. Never seemed clean, facility smelled, little to no activities. She was put in bed most of the day. New facility we moved her to is wonderful and she is awake.

We've had a really good experience at Brookdale Attleboro. I have no complaints. They try to work with you. The care has been very good, and the staff are helpful. They're really good to my loved one. She's happy there and loves the meals. The only problem I have is that their pricing system for personal care is not by the hour. It's based on flat rates for specific care needs, like showering, etc. And I feel like it costs more that way.

We have had a very positive experience. I have nothing but good things to say. Brookdale worked very hard to make my dad feel comfortable and welcome, and he is doing very well there. The staff are great and provide excellent care. And the food is great as well.

I was so impressed with this facility, it was always clean and just an overall great place. They are wonderful. The staff really went out of their way for my loved one and for all of the residents here. Every one of them were so nice and helpful. The dining area was set up nice and they really tried to seat the residents so that they could interact and mingle/get to know each other. They had a good variety of activities and outings. They truly cared about what the residents liked and wanted and were always open to suggestions. The one thing I was really impressed with here was just the sincerity and kindness of the staff for and towards all of the residents. They respected the residents very much and treated them very well. They constantly went out of their way for them in so many ways. For example, my loved one was having trouble seeing the clock in her room because it was small. A staff member went shopping and purchased a bigger clock for her and hung it in her room. Above and beyond! I would definitely recommend this facility to family and friends, I would live here if I could!

My mom lived at Brookdale for 7 years. She got her wish which was to age in place and to be able to pass away in her home Brookdale Attleboro. The team went above and beyond for mom. My mom was so happy and felt so proud to be part of a community. She enjoyed all of the activities and especially enjoyed her meals with her friends in the dining room.

Brookdale Attleboro was a very nice and clean place. We didn't see as much as had anticipated on the tour, but may be to short staff. Overall was a lovely place.
Not very clean at all. The place smelled like urine. The staff I dealt with was not very welcoming. It seemed more just matter of fact. My loved one, definitely was not comfortable. They had a broken foot, and they did not even offer a wheelchair to escort my loved one around the facility. I would not recommend, but it is very affordable. Makes it seem like you get what you pay for in a way.
Sometimes the food is good, and sometimes it's not . If other familes, are apprehensive about putting family in assisted living, then this is the place to go. They are very kind. The staff is very kind and caring. They help you through the process.
