Excellent Short Term Stay Facilities

We needed a place for round the clock care of my wife during a recent business trip. Blenheim-Newport provided the right level of service for her with support for medications, meals and physical therapy. We would use their services again.

Gorgeous but it gets even more expensive....

This is a beautiful facility. They change the decorating frequently and keep it looking lovely. I never feel like I'm going into an assisted living facility but more like a nice hotel. Dining is elegant. The staff is very friendly but the management has changed 3x in 1-1/2 years. My biggest concern is that they "assess" the client every 3 months and every part of the assessment is given a number. The numbers are added up and thats how they determine the care level and the monthly cost. Ours has gone up 3 times in the last 1-1/2 years (not including the yearly cost of living charge). Family has no say in this assessment. The monthly cost has gone from 4500 and change to 6700 and change. Something to think about before your loved one falls in love with this place.

Thank you for your kind words and taking the time to provide feedback. Please let us address the remarks regarding resident assessments. Blenheim-Newport takes great pride in allowing residents to age in place. As part of our continued evaluation of the care and safety of our residents, an assessment is completed on a scheduled basis or any time there is a change in condition. This is an objective assessment is completed by a registered nurse and the results are based on cognitive, functional, and medical needs as well as a physician’s diagnosis. This assessment process provides the resident the opportunity to receive the services they need to remain in the comfort of their own home.

A Place for Mom has scored Blenheim-Newport 8.2 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.

We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.

Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
