The Pearl is a comfortable and home-like place for senior care. We have had two loved ones here and both received very good care. The staff has an attitude of service toward the residents and they are friendly and welcoming. They go out of their way to provide a comfortable experience for their residents. We would recommend Pearl for anyone looking for senior/nursing care for their loved one.

Hearing mom about her mobility concerns. I would love to hear that and know that she is being heard and staff is more willing to listen to her needs and be willing to motivate her to push her self further. Overall this place is a great! Place glad my mom is here.

The one positive about this community, is that if our loved one would of ran out of money they can't kick you out. However the food was terrible as well as the presentation. It felt more like a kids cafeteria. The rooms initially what they called a single room (only available) was only big enough for a hospital bed and one little tiny chair and that was it. Our loved one then moved into a one bedroom which was very sub standard. It had a tiny living room that was not big enough for a couch, it fit only two chairs. They do not allow kitchens so the rooms only had a microwave. They did do a nice job initially with the covid protocols - they did have good communication, but in general we were disappointed. We would have not kept our loved one in their if it was our choice. There was almost no activity. There is a tiny area outside but there was no parking for visitors.
Read MoreWe chose this facility because of the location, availability, ad we also liked their security. My mom was in memory care and they were all on one floor and there was a very good staff to patient ratio. I think they were very good with communication and they sent out newsletters to keep us updated. They were very accommodating with having families visit their loved ones. They tried to cater to everybody personally as far as the meals go and figure out what they liked so that they would eat. I would definitely recommend.

My mother was scheduled for a family visit during Covid-19. While we were waiting, they found her unresponsive and needed to call 911. She was rushed by ambulance to nearest hospital. She was found to have been severely hydrated and had high sodium levels with a UTI. They do not even care to make sure dementia patients are given basic need of water. Very upset and would love to not give the caretakers water where they become unresponsive and almost die.

My father was at Bethesda for a few months this year. He was comfortable and happy. Bethesda is clean, inviting, and a quality facility. The employees care about their jobs and the residents. Our family felt extremely comfortable visiting him and we knew that he was well taken care of when we were not around. THANK YOU BETHESDA STAFF!!

My husband [name removed].??, was there for an open wound care, 2017, all they cared about was Physical therapy ?? his room was not hardly clean, PT. Never locked his wheel chair when brought back to room. He almost tipped over 4x. Kept a blue matt,by his left outside of bed on floor in case he fell, some CNA's were terrible, place understaffed, at times, not a safe place. Ceo is not capable of handling complaints of family members, side doors outside of building were broken, and anyone could sneak in, no cameras to watch if anyone could enter on side door. I wouldn't recommend this place, really. Not what its cut up to be. Especially if person has Dementia ??. I give it a 0 REVIEW ??. Argued everyday for my spouse. He was not happy at all. It may be ok for temporary rehabilitation, but not for permanent resident ?? half of the time call light in room not working.

I feel that the pricing of the nursing home is a scam. They offer one price and then raise it when you talk to them. The staff at Bethesda is good with my wife. They also offer good healthy meals for her to enjoy. The home is clean and well taken care of.

A Place for Mom has scored Bethesda Rehab and Senior Care 8.9 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
