Benchmark Senior Living at Leominster Crossings

When we first Benchmark Senior Living we felt very welcomed, and they were very happy to have our loved one there. The rooms at this community were wonderful, they were pretty spacious. Our loved one always said the food was great.

They do a great job keeping the hallways and common spaces clean, however in the individual apartments, the cleaning could be better. All the staff know everyone's name and because of the Covid-19 pandemic, the community is on lock down, however they still allow us to go outside, which is wonderful. Right now there are limited activities available, but they bring around a cart with things to do. They do a pretty good job here. On the expensive side, Benchmark does a good job with using the money to put back into the residents and their stays.

My family researched in person possible assisted living environments for our mom, that had memory care. Leominster Crossing was the shining star. Such a difficult decision and we cried the day we drove away and it was moms first night at an unknown place. However, now we sleep so soundly knowing she is in a new home with sincere, competent, and compassionate staff. So grateful she is happy and safe! It does feel like a family there, and whomever is doing the hiring is doing great. They all deserve a raise!!

We visited to place my parents but hated the lack of smile and major attitude we witnessed from the " boss" [name removed] towards staff. He did " pretend" to be friendly with us but was bothered by any question asked and on the pushy side. Place did look nice.

High management turnover, the ones that need to go stay. Food was better before, something changed, menu or ingredients, overpriced room rentals.

We are using this community for their respite stay services. So far everything is working out pretty well, this is a great organization. We did have some administration, paper work issues in the beginning, but everything is working out well now. She is safe, and in good hands. This is a well-kept community, they do a good job with the cleanliness around the facility. There are good meals provided, and nice activities available for the residents. This is a lovely community, and I would recommend it.

This facility is very nice, clean and cheerful, but I did not get a warm, family feeling when there. Residents did not interact with staff much.

My mom is very happy with the care she gets from this community. The staff are amazing and have no issue keeping the community clean. There is plenty to do everyday at this community. My mom enjoys the food that is given to her. I would absolutely recommend this place!

I am continuously amazed at the level of creativity down to the smallest detail to make the lives of the residents as normal and independent as possible.

Month 2 in respite I wanted to transition my dad at Benchmark Senior Living at Leominster Crossings. He needed day care at the Alzheimer's unit at harbor side. My dad would be at harbor side all day. My mom not at harbor side but was really liking it. The staff at harbor side were always encouraging her to come over because she was so fun. Well, then they decided my parents were too much work and wanted to charge me for mom being at harbor side when I am already paying a ton. Seriously the administrative side is terrible at this facility. The care side on the non harbor side is good. My dad had gotten no shower in a long time and stayed in the same outfit every day for many days. They have a real administrative problem over there. They have me gun shy over the whole situation. I like the every day aid that is there. The food is good and the place is clean. You are taking a huge risk with the administrative side at this facility. Buyer be ware!

I toured this community while looking into care options for a loved one. The facility was well kept and clean, and all of the staff I met seemed friendly and professional. However, I don't think the care was the best match for what my loved one was needing at the time. Overall it seems like a nice place, and is definitely worth a look!

We're very pleased with how things have gone with Leominster Crossings, I'd give them top marks across the board! The staff are very friendly, and always available to help with any issues that come up. They've got a wonderful variety of activities, and the facility itself is well lit, clean, and just has a nice feel overall.

My loved one had been staying here for assisted living care, and they did a good job, overall. It was a nice looking community, and the staff were friendly and helpful. However, I was not impressed with their dementia and memory care unit, so when his needs advanced to that point we decided to look into other options for him.

We toured this facility while we were looking for options for my mother. Everything seemed fine, however they did not have the 24 hour care coverage that we were looking for. The rooms were also a bit smaller and more expensive than the other option we were considering.
