Bedford Residence Assisted Living

Bedford Residence is a good caring facility. Staff does not have a lot of turnover but sometimes hard to communicate with. Most Residents are in advanced state of need but are well cared for. It is a smaller facility which is also worth mentioning. Residents get more attention that way. I would absolutely recommend Bedford Residence to other families looking.

The staff is attentive and kind to residents. They keep residents clean and are proactive with health concerns. The smaller size of the facility allows for customization and individualization of care. Communication with family about activities could be improve on.

I can only speak wonders of Bedford Residence. After several unsuccessful trials with my mother who has frontal lobe dementia and hard to please, Bedford Residence has been an absolute godsend. Unlike so many other living options we've looked at and tried, it is a small family-run intimate setting situated in two houses with lovely trees and outdoor space, very much like one's own back yard, and the atmosphere and care is everything I wish I could have given to my mother myself. There are around just sixteen residents which allows for exceptional service. The dedicated management and staff pay attention to my mother's every need, and my mother who is very picky only speaks most highly of them. My mother's health and morale has more than improved since being there. She is stronger, has a huge appetite and is much more sociable than when she was living at home. Not only does Bedford Residence have wonderful staff on site, they have a great network of physicians, nurses and physiotherapist, also hairdresser and manicurist, who come on a regular basis. The staff pay attention to my mother's every need, likes and dislikes, and have exceeded my expectations in accommodating and caring for her. And, so important, the all-inclusive monthly fee is fair and square.

Touring Bedford, I thought it was very nice. They have 2 houses on the property but I think they would have placed her on the second one for her level of care. I was not a fan of that idea because that house was on the dark side, it did not have many windows did not feel very comfortable. The first house was very nice, and everyone that I met was nice, but it was not the best fit for my mother at the time.

I am blown away by the staff. They are sincerely caring, nurturing and patient. After one week, my father wants to treat them to dinner at a restaurant. The facility provides for several items, which would need to be covered by Medicare. I feel fortunately to have found a facility where I can have my father stay, leaving me without regret, and not break the bank.

They were a friendly staff and very nurturing to the patients there. It was an open space and very quiet and it was pleasant. It was an ideal location for the area we are located at. They are very punctual with the meals. Also they are interactive with the patients.

7/8 Toured. Very nice. Only semi-private available. $3,700 normal rent but offered to me for $3,500. 7/16 1:30pm for tour with Mom.

Facility appeared clean and newly built section looked nice. However, I feel that it was overpriced, considering the competion at larger facilities.

Moving our loved one into the Bedford Residence has been an exceptionally wonderful experience! Compared to where he was before the difference is like night and day. The people here are kind, warm, compassionate, and loving. The day he moved in two of the care takers rushed out to greet us an introduced themselves (jokingly) as his new daughters, and they really are like a family at this community. The food here is also wonderful! My loved one cleans his plate at every meal, and they're always trying to feed any family members who visit! We would highly recommend this place, we've had a wonderful experience.

Very clean, very comfortable living facility. Personnel very cordial and professional. Nice property with trees and nice outside area. New section under construction looks very nice as well. Private and semi-private rooms.

Bedford Residence was a very good choice to place my mom's care with. They are very caring people that care for their patients like they would care for their own mother or father. Patients are kept clean, well fed, and are kept comfortable at all time. Patients are really living there on their own schedule. They also work well with the patients family.

Absolutely loved this place and the staff. Beautiful grounds, nice rooms,staff, and great facility. Will be expanding, are new owners, excellent care there - very appropriate for my dad.

Very nice, older facility, but very clean. Staff is friendly and caring. Parking would be a real problem for visitors and Hospice caregivers.
