I have a family member that has been living here for over a year and at first we were fairly happy with the facility but things have gone downhill. Ownership of the facility changed in the last year and since that time the facility hasn't been the same. They are understaffed and the residents suffer because of it. They have had issues with the food that is served including serving raw chicken, the facility is often dirty because they do not have the staff to keep up with cleaning, and one of the most frustrating things is that I can never get an answer on the phone when calling the facility and you are not able to leave messages either. For simple inquiries I find myself having to physically drive over there and then try to locate an employee. Many times have I gone there only to walk right in and search for 10 or 15 minutes before I can even locate an actual employee. Which is also a security issue because anyone can waltz in off the street and go basically where they choose.

I was not impressed with my tour of this community. There was a very bad odor lingering around the community. My family, and I knew for the start of our tour, that this was not the community for my parents, and their needs.

Very nice, smaller community. Very clean. Apartments small but bright. Unfurnished except for window blinds, a dining room on each floor, hall kitchen for residents with coffee, fruit and snacks. Nice location across from the Council on Aging Center. Representative was friendly, supportive and informative. Able to answer all of my questions.

This looked like a nice clean community when we toured. The staff I met during the tour were nice. The rooms at this community were extremely small and this would not work for my parents.

I toured here as I was looking for options. It was nice, the people were friendly, and it seemed like a nice place. Just not the right fit for us.

It's very clean and the staff is friendly. The pricing is about average. There have been complaints about food. Quality and Variety could be improved. Overall they are doing a pretty good job.

They were there within 15 min at the most when a bell was rung. Constantly water on the table. They had a lot of staff, you had at least 3 or 4 nurses on staff in the day time. There was always more food if you wanted more, the staff was very welcoming they treated my parents very well. They always were right on top of everything. It was very bright, lights everywhere, it was always very bright.

A Place for Mom has scored BayView Assisted Living at the Pavilion 2 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
