I like that it's, clean, very secure, they cook meals on a schedule. There are lots of staff in the building. They have activities, a nice backyard and enclosed patio for fresh air. The rooms are nice overall. I like how they give meds on a schedule and seem to be very efficient with that. They also have them on a showering schedule which is great. Improvements: they need to asses patients accurately. Rent amounts are based on patient levels of care, and the level they put my Mom at and the care they supposedly give for the price, is not true. When I went in person they barely checked on her all day if she is in her room, yet state 30 min checks on her assessment. She is paying for level 4 care, and is not needing nor receiving level 4 care. Also, my mother will ask for help with things and they will either put it off or usually forget altogether and I have I message the house manager. I live out of state so this is a concern since I can't always check on her in person. Some Staff are not very personable, they talk amongst themselves and don't engage really with patients or the patients family unless we talk to them first.... Read more

Last April my mom moved to Azura in Kenosha. I have been very happy with the care she receives there. I had worried about the "fit" for mom since memory issues were not our biggest concern at the beginning . But we both grew to love the residents and staff. The building is very nice and very clean. Mom's room is generously sized and fits a bed, lounge chair, dresser, wardrobe, and two night stands. The staff seems to genuinely care for all the residents and work hard to create a homey atmosphere. The food is also very good -- not like hospital food. Mom still wants to "go home", but she wanted that when we cared for her in the house she lived in for 60 years. I am comfortable with my selection of Azura for this final phase of her life.

The director (her name was [name removed]) was very good to work worth. The staff - well I am sure it's the nature of the business but it sure seem like a lot of turn around & new faces all the time Never seen much of the activity director so I can't really say much it seems the activities ended early & did not see much in the evenings. I only know the comments made by my father in law regarding the food wasn't happy with the food. He was a meat & potato kind of guy.

It's a nice place. I was there a lot so I was able to observe interactions with my father. I could critique nitpicky things but overall, I'm glad my father went there. He died a week after being there. It was a good place for him while he was there. We needed to find a place fast for him. They were able to give a tour and they had availability. So that really solidified it for us.

Overall, experience was good. The staff was friendly. There seem to be a lot of new faces. I was never sure if it, was a new staff or existing. It would have been nice to see a "name tag" with years of service.

This place has been a great fit. Staff works with me to troubleshoot problems. Staff cares for the residents and try hard to meet residents requirements. One of the most supportive places we've been. (our 4th)

I thought that was a great facility. It was well presented and looked to be well run. The only reason we chose another was the driving distance for my siblings who live in Illinois , some west of Chicago.

March 15, 2023Thank you so much for leaving a review of our home in Kenosha! We appreciate you sharing your feedback!
I was told that laundry would be done twice per week, and that my loved one would receive showers, and those things did not happen. Sometimes things would dissapear. The staff tried very hard and was pleasant. The facility was very attractive. The cook was concerned, and was providing meals for me. The food was superb. They really tried with the activities.

Based on our experience we would recommend Azura Memory Care of Kenosha to other families, but we do think they could improve on the quality of the meals.

Toured , felt very loving and family oriented . The staff seemed engaged with residents and there was a lot of life in the community. They have an on-site nurse which was appealing to me. Seemed like a good place for when we need to move mom.

I was touring Azura of Kenosha and I was very impressed by the engagement I saw. Two activity people were making banana cream pie cups with abut six residents. Each resident was engaged in a task and they al seemed to enjoy it.

Azura is wonderful! They really get to know their residents. The Activity department goes above and beyond to provide amazing experiences. Each activity is geared to the residents favorites memories. They do a wonderful job connecting to each of them and transforming Azura into a real life moment. The staff is like family, the love is shown throughout all they do. Great Job Azura! This is a good place for your parent or your loved one to be in. My loved one does not participate in the activities but they do have a board with all of the activities posted for the residents. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
