Move in experience was great!

The staff at Atria Park of Lynbrook was wonderful in helping us set up my mom's room and helping her feel comfortable. We even had to switch rooms because my mom was bothered by the sound of the elevator which was next to her room. The staff helped us contact the right people who came up and offered to move her to a quieter room. We were so tired since we had already set up her entire room, but within what seemed like minutes, an entire crew moved my mom to a new room. We didn't lift a finger. Special kudos to [names removed] who carefully hung everything up for us ...twice! It's only been 2 weeks, but none of this would have worked if it was not for [name removed] who is beyond amazing and makes us feel that my mom is well cared for. I hope [name removed] is at Atria for a very long time-the love, care, and understanding she gives the memory care residents and their families is above and beyond! Also, a special shout-out to the amazing [names removed]'s team!

Our Experience

My loved one was previously a resident at Atria Park of Lynbrook. They were not able to effectively take care of my loved one. Only high functioning people should go there. They sell you the world and then avoid you. It's a beautiful place for people who only need minimal help.

Attentive and caring staff

I would happily give all of those categories a 5. Their staff to patient ratio is terrific and all the staff if extremely caring and attentive. When a room became available it was their most expensive suite at $[removed] but they did give me two months free as a signing bonus. Sadly my husband does not have long term insurance so this is taking a big chunk out of our monthly income

Look elsewhere

This was for respite care on the memory care unit. I continued to have billing issues long after my husband had left. The only way it ended was contacting the CEO of Atria. When I contacted them, they had said that they were unaware. Based off of our experience, I would not recommend Atria Park of Lynbrook to others looking. I feel that they need to make big procedural changes.

Nice friendly environment

With the staff, they're short handed at times. We picked this community, because it had a home like feel to it. It's very good, very expensive as most of them are, but worth the expense. I would recommend it.

Great for Independent Living

My loved one is no longer at this community. They don't monitor the residents like they should. The food was okay. They need to improve on administration , communication, and returning phone calls. They don't seem to be able to deliver, what they promise. It's a great place if the residents need independent care but if they need other services, it's not the best. It is very clean. A Place for Mom, was wonderful from the beginning.

Very happy with it

My mom can't see well, so many of the activities are not suitable for her. The price increase that started this month was a big one. Overall, we're very happy with this facility and very grateful for all that they do.

Caring, compassionate, very professional and very confident

Everything about the Atria Park community has been marvelous and we would absolutely recommend them to other families. It has just been renovated and it does look like a 5 star hotel. The staff members have gone above and beyond for our family - from the care staff, to the management team everyone is just absolutely outstanding. We were very hesitant about moving our loved one into a community and not caring for them at home, but they are doing so much better here under the care of Atria. They made the process easy with their open line of communication. It has been better then excellent. Our loved one has progressed very well.

Nice Community but could use improvement

They could improve on the food options, and add fresh veggies. They do seem to get the residents active, with the activites, and try to interact with the residetns.

Atria Park review

For the location it is a pretty expensive community which is not their fault, but it was always very clean and overall it is beautiful. We felt the staff members seemed to work had in helping out the elderly residents that were there. Our loved one was happy with the meals and dining and overall we thought Atria Part of Lynbrook was an excellent facility.

I toured this facility and it was nice! We were looking for a memory care only facility, so it didn't work for our needs. But seemed like a great place!

Nice place

It's a clean and good option for parents who would like to spend their final years in a place that cares for them around the clock. The center director is excellent. The food should be cooked on site since they have the facilities to do so. The processed food that's served isn't healthy for the the residents. However I understand that staffing and supply chain issues make this very challenging.

Would highly recommend -

Atria Lynbrook is a very nice community and they do a very good job keeping up with the cleanliness of the entire place. The food quality is great, our loved one talks all the time about how good the meals are. They do have activities and our loved one does like to go to a few of them. However when it comes to the care service, they could improve a little bit especially with their night shift nurses.
