My community is wonderful. I am accepted for who I am. I am very happy here. People here are no different than any other place. We all have our problems. Management can only do so much. That's why it's called independent living. A new activity director just came on board. She is wonderful. She has a lot of ideas for us to partake in. All in all this is a great place to live.

I have worked at numerous senior living communities and Arlington Plaza, without a doubt, has the most caring staff of any of them. I’ts been such an honor to be at the community through so many changes. When I started there was road construction and then shortly after that we got an internal remodel! Now the place looks great and new equipment is still coming in!! [name remove] are the best and are so easy to work with!

On activities there has not been a director more than 2 or 3 days since May. 2 directors both fired within couple days of starting. On meals and Dining - run out of food nearly every meal. Not the right foods for that specific meal. 90% of time dishes set out ( cups , glasses, flatware) dirty. Served by server not wearing gloves. Only food tray servers wear gloves. When taking food to rooms ie. Covid lock ins the person does not wear protective mask or gloves the goes back to other rooms and dining room and serves other residence. Food not tasty. Not properly seasoned. At least 5 days a week run out of food before all residents have been served.

All I know is that my mom, who had been EXTREMELY picky about where she’d like to live, LOVES where she is living! Our family had a EXTREMELY difficult time finding that happy place for my mother and her dog but, thanks to A Perfect Place For Mom we, with their help FINALLY found it. My mother and her beloved pet are very happy now.

My loved one is currently a resident at Arlington Plaza and the overall experience has been good for her so far. My loved one is happy there. Her studio is the perfect size for her and the bathroom is huge and accommodating. She loves her patio, too! My initial tour and resident guidance was with [name removed] and he was a tremendous help!

The overall atmosphere is improving, new carpet in lobby etc. The activity calendar is full of activities that no one shows up for. Especially the staff. They removed the TV's so no movies etc. They are planning on turning the library into an exercise room. The food is excellent and plentiful. But they are short on staff. Especially on the weekends. They used to serve you at your table. Now they make you wait in a line to get your plate. It's nice that they have a maid clean your room once a week. With the construction going on the hallways and stairs can get quite dirty.

It seems like there's never anyone available when we need them. My mom constantly complains about the food. I like that they do keep the facility clean and the staff are friendly in their interactions. What I like the least is that they seem extremely unorganized. I have had billing issues with them since the very beginning and it's been frustrating. Another big issue is the food, they don't serve nutritional food from what I understand. My mom told me she got grilled cheese for dinner three days in a row. And lastly it bothers me that they're not staffed overnight... I don't think the citizens are very capable of self defense or anything in the event of the break-in. Overall I've been disappointed but not enough to go through the process of finding somewhere else I guess.

The price. And faith in the new administration, the obvious updating and renovation going on, very friendly residents. The shower build is poor however, pretty tricky and narrow, not very safe.

Everyone we spoke to was completely out gong and friendly. Mom and I look forward to her being Happy here. We will review again later, after Mom has moved in and gets unvolved. She is excited at 82 to start a new and different life. I'm excited to just be her daughter again and not her keeper! Thank you everyone

The staff are definitely very friendly and sweet and we loved the welcoming atmosphere. However even with it mostly being a good experience overall, there are a couple of areas they could improve on.

A Place for Mom has scored Arlington Plaza 9.5 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
