I used to be a resident here at Overture Highlands and I had an over the top experience, everything about this place was so nice. The staff were great and very educated so they knew exactly what they were doing. I had physical therapy which helped me out so much it really made a difference. If I was not able to come down to a session which happened a few times, they would come up to my apartment. So they are very attentive and accommodating.... Read more

This community is very pricey and not as big of a living quarters as the community that I was looking for. The other community had a lot more room to move around and worked out better for my loved one.
There are no meals here everyone cooks for themselves, but twice a week there is a breakfast for those who are interested with a professional cook. Also, two Saturday's a month there is a big brunch. There is an activities calendar posted every month with all the things they will have going on. The value for cost is a little expensive but as a whole it is very good for what you are getting.

Incredibly impressed by the Overture! If you have a loved one who is not needing "hands on care" but simply a wonderful community of similar age adults who they can get to know, socialize with and then still have their own independance in a safe and very luxurious environment, this is the place for them! Certainly a number one choice for my loved one until they would need more assisted care!

They don't have enough garages, plenty of carports but only 11 garages for the whole large community. Everything else is good. I like the convenience, and everything is close by. You have the Highlands right across the street. At my age, everything is really convenient. They gave me a really great deal on my place too, and I got to lock into that price for 2 years. I can't complain at all.

Opinion may change when services re-open. However, even though Gov .Abbott has lifted restrictions, touted "amenities" remained closed. This is not acceptable and I am very disappointed.

Response from Overture Highlands 55+ Apartment Homes
May 28, 2020Hello Pat, We appreciate your feed back regarding this matter. Now that the amenities are opening I hope you find time to enjoy. Have a wonderful day.
I spent several days researching and visiting "active adult" living spaces for my mom. Overture Highlands was by far the newest and most attractive for the younger "aging" person. I was greeted by [name removed], who was kind enough to show me several apartments that were available. He was extremely patient with my mom as she made the decision on the space she preferred. While she was apprehensive at first, being new to the state and not knowing anyone in the community, she has developed friendships over the past two months that I know she treasures. Overture offers several opportunities for the residents to connect with each other as well as the staff. They host several community events, mostly in the evening, as many of their apartment dwellers are still working. I can truly say that my mind is at ease with my mom being at Overture Highlands and I would highly recommend anyone to visit them before making a decision on where a family member would feel most comfortable. Please note that these apartments are for the "active" aging person. Total independence is expected. Hope this helps!

Very new building. Very nice. Appears to be a nice transition from personal home and "traditional" retirement facility. T
