The staff members are great, and from our understanding our loved one seems to enjoy the meals and dining service. We would recommend the Arcadia Place community to others.

It is a good community if you are more independent. If you need assistance and interact with staff then I would say it isn't as a good as community for these individuals. The rooms are good, with a sink and under the counter for fridge.

On Saturday the hallway music played songs from the 1970s to the 1980s. I don't think it's appropriate music for the elderly.

The meals are generally very good. The cleaning is reliable. They offer ways for us to keep busy.

Breakfast is horrible. Watery cold eggs, greasy bacon and fried potatoes have no taste. [Name removed] is mean and treats us residents with no respect.

The last two weeks or so, I've had my meals in my room. Just had a BLT with potato salad. It was so great, the last two weeks were the best! The music in the hallway is too modern, too fast and not mellow. I bet many seniors here don't like it. They need to play more mellow Tunes. many times the music spoils the mood.

Meals are just so-so. Breakfast is terrible. Lunch - okay. Dinner – soups are weird. Not enough choices.

Very good, active retired community members, peaceful low-stress. Community and town in Vista California. Safe, disease-free. Quietly located in well vegetated surroundings. Interesting members, many active and mobile.

Called many times - left messages never a return call. They don't care. Expensive for what you get. They have a manager who is mean, argues with everyone and has a, you just better obey him, attitude. He’s right even if you prove him wrong. Then you’re in real trouble with him.

My mom has had great care by staff. Very caring through a very hard medical situation and lots of allowances for our family to be able to keep mom here

Front staff are amazing, [name removed] is always ready to answer any question or help with any concerns. [Name removed] is kind and truly cares for the residents. [Name removed] is wonderful! He should be general manager. [Name removed] is all business, very cold, not kind. Very intimidating to staff and residents.

My mom recently moved into Arcadia place. I never would have imagined she would have adjusted so quickly. Even during covid-19, the community staff made every effort to make community retirement living enjoyable. Now that the dining room and activities are opening up again, mom is even happier. And she loves the food.

General manager [name removed] lacks empathy and compassion for the residents.[Name removed] has no personality and never smiles. * food quality – Okay * food choices - Poor - some days during a week I don't eat because no alternates. You have to eat only two choices and one is salad or sandwich. Don't move here.

I have lived here for six years and have always been given what is needed in the situation. Leadership is always diligent and has fit in so adroitly their ideas with the residents. Also, their help, guidance, corresponds with my role, place in this life!!

Meal choices are poor. No alternate choices. My dad frequently doesn't eat due to a menu he doesn't like or can't eat. Without more options, he doesn't eat. We are paying for 3 meals a day that he doesn't get. Mgmt says there is a hot and cold option. He should be able to choose one. Still no answer to this problem.

Seems as though living is less comfortable as couple of years have gone by. I admit it is difficult with the pandemic rules. We will stick it out and hope for better times.

So glad my dad moved into Arcadia Place. He is so happy and the food is so good. He hated where he lived and the food was bland.

A Place for Mom has scored Arcadia Place 8.8 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
