Was not a great experience if I am being honest... Everything is misleading. Communication is horrid. It is definitely not a place I would recommend as 55 "Independent Living." Repairs go unfinished. The list is endless frankly...
Please stay away from this facility, they are horrible and management needs to be fired!!!! The GM has been seen yelling at residents and bullying them along with assistant GM bullying too. They had a huge flood that came in from outside with contaminated water and many residents lost valuables while the facility said everything was fine. Items were not treated and contaminated were put back into apartments along with dirty sheets. The residents were bullied into paying their rent or else threatened to be evicted even tho apartments were uninhabitable. This is not a good place and many residents are wanting to leave because of the GM and assistant GM. Do not put a loved one in this place!!!

At this time Arcadia Place can't rent apartments. It was recently flooded with human waste. All resident's were moved to a hotel, return date unknown. Vista water district is paying for ALL of the hotel and meal expenses. These elderly people have no access to their property, basically left with the clothes on their backs, and they can't go out and buy much needed clothes or toiletries, because Arcadia Place IS STILL CHARGING THEM RENT, for a place their not even living in and don't have access to. When I called and talked to the Director, he had no answers for me, and when I asked for Corporate's phone number, his response was LOOK IT UP. My recommendation for anyone looking for a place for Mom, is look else where. This staff has had no compassion for these elderly people.

We are looking for a senior living community for a family member in the near future. We took a tour with the manager of Arcadia Place. What a pleasant surprise, after touring a few other senior living communities, where all we got was a sign here attitude. We talked to some of the residents along the tour and they had nothing but praise for the facility and staff. We were given a copy of the menu and saw the choices and variety. We were not pressured or rushed and every question that we had was answered completely. We felt very welcomed. When the time comes, Arcadia will be our choice.

Some staff are nice. [Name removed] is a rude and condescending. Meals are not good, except breakfast. Housekeeping is terrible. They do nothing. I would not recommend this facility to others.

Being 55+ and independent living, you will meet a wide variety of tenants with a wide variety of conditions and needs. Staff is very friendly and helpful, except sometimes are too busy with administrative work, and tenant needs/hand holding seems to take second place in importance.

Best fit for my brother in law. Needed to move him closer to family (us) and accessible health care. Friendly staff, good layout for dining and enjoying grounds, not huge or overwhelming property, onsite health services for very basic needs, chauffeur service useful, close to public transportation and retail. It may not be the right place for all of our friends and family, but very good match for brother in law.

I toured this community on behalf of my father who will be moving this summer to be closer to family. He doesn't want to be treated like a child and have to check in with people. I like he would have privacy in an apartment and be able to have his grandkids spend the night. It really fits the bill of taking the burden of day to day chores off his plate and will enable him to remain independent for years to come. And enjoy each day without worry!

I moved my mom to Arcadia Place about a month ago. We toured 3 other facilities in San Diego and Arcadia Place stood out from the first visit and I am very happy with the decision. It is a very warm environment and my mom is amazed daily by the fact that all of the employees know her name and are very kind! She was barely eating when she arrived and never hungry. The food is so incredible that she goes down to the dining room for 3 meals a day and comments often about how great the food is. This has made her much stronger in only one month. Her apartment is a nice size and the facility feels very homey. She is still getting acclimated to this change but once she wants to participate there are a variety of activities. I can’t recommend Arcadia Place enough and are very happy to know my mom is in a safe and loving environment.

My loved one was previously a resident at Arcadia Place for an extended period of time and the experience at this facility was not great. It definitely was not a good fit for my loved one. I personally wouldn't recommend Arcadia Place for any family that is looking for some levels of care for their elderly loved ones.

I only have one friend I have anything in common with. People can be cliques but that's everywhere. It's nice it's just not for me. No kitchen, tiny fridge. I personally do not like the food. They are pet friendly. Nice staff people on the whole. Not so hot neighborhood.
