All Seasons West Bloomfield

Just moved my 95 y.o.dad from another local senior establishment. The difference is night and day. Friendly and responsive staff especially [names removed] ( with whom I have dealt with the most), not short staffed. A wonderful menu with sufficient portions, not cold or looking like "what is this ?". Most importantly, they follow through on their promises and do not blow smoke up your you know where. Five star for [removed]

Had a great experience with [name removed]. She is caring and professional and has a “let’s see how we can make that happen” attitude! We needed to make a few changes to the unit prior to move in; [name removed] wrote notes and followed up on everything. She really made the move much easier for me and less stressful for my mom. We chose All Seasons West Bloomfield because we wanted to come back to Michigan to be closer to family. When we toured this facility, there were also more men so my husband was able to make some more friends. The food here is not good, especially for the amount of money we are paying. I think for this area, this is probably the best place to live.

There is an exit fee if you leave for other than health reasons. I left for health reasons but still had to pay an exit fee. The food was okay. The room sizes are good, I had a two-bedroom unit. They charged for putting up safety devices and for taking them down.

While the facility is beautiful, the food and dining room service is horrible. My mom sometimes waits well over an hour for substandard food. Often, she leaves the dining room without eating because she doesn't want to wait any longer. Turnover of staff is high - the dining room is therefore understaffed and not trained. Management is aware of this problem and does nothing. All Seasons seems to care more about landscaping (to attract new residents, I assume) than providing the dining services it has promised. I feel the owner is opportunistic, taking advantage of seniors by charging high rent that includes dining services that are not delivered, while raising her rent 40-50% while she's lived there. My mom is afraid to complain for fear her lease will not be renewed. Moving for anyone, especially for people in their 80s-90s, is not an option. And a timely and consumable meal for seniors is critical, so I've written this review in the hope that the owner will direct the appropriate funds necessary to run an acceptable dining room.

Outstanding community! Everything from the apartments, the food, the activities, the decor, the staff - top notch. Its obvious they have thought of everything with respect to safety and happiness of their residents.

Just moved my mom to All Seasons. They have an incredible staff, from the valet [name removed], to the ladies at the front desk, ([names removed]) to [name removed] the manager of the dining room, to [name removed] in maintenance. All of the dining waitstaff is kind. Chef [name removed] outdoes himself with a wonderful menu full of delicious choices.The facility is impeccable and beautifully maintained, as are the grounds. [name removed] and [name removed] are wonderful and so attentive to the residents. It wasn't an easy decision for my mom to move, but she feels at home already. [name removed] in maintenance goes above and beyond to residents with a hug and is "everything ok? constantly. [name removed], the valet is a great asset with his smile and eagerness to help. Tried to give 5 stars but it would not allow.

Last year at this time Mom moved in.The food was excellent,the selection and quantity was ideal. Alas that has changed! The quality has been become economy, poor selection of beef just one entrre and I have to cut the one veal dish because it was tough like shoe leather and mom could not cut it herself.Yesterday the veal dish was a thin preformed veal patty.Some ones idea of improvement.Gone are several steak dishes and a fine prime rib.The wait staff are really friendly and work hard.The kitchen manager is quick to make up prices that do not exist on the menu, if you order a second entre'.She will explain if you miss a dinner it does not count toward just a second entre'.Skimpy portions, and she will take the food out of your mouth ,if you you order chicken or fish on the available Caesar salad.I have to make up a price not listed on the menu she says.Mom likes to share her food with me, she is 90 something.The kitchen maven likes to watch me and explain some people like to come and join their mom, but the unlisted menu price are extravagant and mediocre for the amount. I come most every night to enjoy moms company.Last year everything was ample servings.The selection excellent.Now is a far cry from last years selection. If the menu stays like this and the food manager hawks for extra prices for moms food, l think twice about joining her.Unfortunate!

Beautiful facility, truly luxurious.

I can't comment on care services because I haven't had enough experience with that yet, or don't understand what falls under this category. Highly recommend All Seasons.

Beautiful community with lots of amenities, and we loved the handicap accessible apartment with den. Active, young at heart feel of community with social and religious diversity and lots of couples However, probably out of our reach financially unless we find some funds not available at this time. Some features, such as the $175,000 grand piano, seemed pretty pretentious. The apartment in a less-pretentious setting would have been perfect. 'Land-locked cruise ship.' First rated 5 stars, but upon reflection decided that was over-generous. Pushiest leasing agent we've met.
