My loved one is a resident at Aegis of Lake Union. Most important is to clearly understand level of staffing. Is there adequate coverage during day and night? It seems like they are not always fully staffed. The staff that they do have is excellent. A second issue that drives me crazy is how the laundry works. Every day there are strange clothes in my loved one's closet and I have no idea where many of his clothes are. Once, I saw a resident wearing my vest (not my loved one's) from my work. The laundry is a small issue. but it drives me crazy. I haven't seen the new grey towels that I provided since July. Food prep is also important- we never ate fried or junk food at home. There seems to be more reliance on this type of food now than there was in the beginning. They don't seem to have as many salads. Overall, I am happy and grateful to the personal care and attention that the staff have provided to my loved one and his care.... Read more

When it comes to the activities the music is awesome, however our loved one is not currently participating in many of the other activities for personal reasons. I wish she would because they look great. We would definitely recommend Aegis of Lake Union to other families looking for a place for their loved ones.
