I would recommend Aegis of Carmichael. The move in process was seamless. My father had to be transported from another facility and Aegis took care of everything. He wanted a different room and they accommodated him and moved all his things twice. They treated my father like family. He was on hospice for his final three weeks at Aegis. His main desire was to be pain free, comfortable, and most importantly- clean, as he was bedridden. They did it all with tremendous care. I could not have done what they did for my father. I am very happy that my husband is here. My husband is in memory care unit so I'm familiar with that. Everyone in the entire facility is helpful with positive attitudes, always smiling. The residents also appear happy, always smiling.

They are not responsive/communicative about what is going on with loved one. Leadership does not take responsibility of their duties, therefore, staff doesn't either. I think their main concern is profit. I would not recommend this facility to family and friends.

My father lived at three places prior to living at this facility. This one was the best. They have a lot of activities. The food is excellent. It's very comfortable and homey. It's not too big or too small. The staff is very attentive (including maintenance staff.) Management is always accessible. They provide housekeeping (could make beds better!). Personal Laundry service is available at an additional cost. My father eventually entered hospice there. They took care of him as their own until he passed. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

I would highly recommend this facility! The staff is extremely helpful. Their food is really good. I've eaten there several times and it's always been good. We've even had extended family eat there and comment on how good the food is. The facility is wonderful, they keep it really nice. It's always very pleasant and even smells good. When you go in there, you know it's a special place. The nursing staff is really on top of everything and quick to move to move in emergencies. They have brought concerns to our attention and immediately taken care of them. They are extremely helpful. As are the Doctors. We're very pleased!

We liked this facility for our loved one it was just too far away from our family.
We have an in person tour and our experience was good, but the community was not as new and bright as what we were hoping. We thought the price was also a little higher and at the time there were no men there.
The facility is beautiful but it's all smoke and mirrors. When you first meet they give you all the service and care they will provide but they do not follow through with that care. Every additional thing they do is charged on the bill the cost is very high. Beware of the salespeople. I would not recommend this community to others.
