This place was a snake pit. It absolutely needed a facelift inside at least. The closet was so old in my mothers room, it was freestanding knotty pine. Umm... I don't think they made them since the 1960's! Give me a break. How can this facility be filing for bankruptcy? They have put anything into this place cosmetically in decades! So, only one answer. They are lining their pockets obviously. I wouldn't put my worst enemy in this dump let alone a relative! I hope my sister is proud of herself for placing my mother in this pit without checking it out first!! Don't do it people!

I am at this facility on a near daily basis. I can only speak to the Absolut at Orchard Park location, as it is the only one I have been to. If you or a loved one are considering this facility, DO NOT. If you have a loved one in this facility, GET THEM OUT. When you first walk in you're greeted by somewhat friendly receptionist. You will notice that there are a couple of chairs and a coffee table tucked in the left corner. Often times there is a pot of coffee that is likely cold and some baked goods that are probably stale. That is all the positive things I have to say about this facility. The facility as a whole is in desperate need of a facelift from the inside out. There is a thick, constant smell of UTI, feces, urine, and cleaner throughout the building. The carpet lining the hallways is in desperate need of restoration or replacement. The walls need a fresh coat of paint. The ceiling tiles, which were once white, are now yellow and sagging. The patients rooms are dim and absolutely depressing and sad. The facility as a whole is disgusting and dirty. Moving on to the staff, never in my entire life have I seen such lazy "medical professionals". Truthfully, there is a handful of decent nurses and aides, however, the majority appear to be extremely lazy. The staff is often in complete disarray and look so unprofessional it is sickening and make me wonder how they are trusted to care for the most fragile population. Not a day goes by where I don't see staff members without headphones in their ears, having personal conversation among other coworkers, or playing/talking on their phones. The staff is often clueless (or plain stupid) when asked questions and just flat out lie when they don't have an answer. It is certainly clear that most of the staff working there is just there for a paycheck and has very little concern regarding the patients. All of the units at this facility are understaffed severely at all levels of care and it seems that some of the RNs are covering multiple UNITS at a time. Just a few months ago this facility had an inspection. I am not sure what inspection was completed, but I believe it was an insurance inspection/audit. During the few days the inspection was taking place, I have never seen this facility so clean, fresh smelling, properly staffed with employees that looked happy to be there. As you may have guessed the minute the inspection was over they went back to their old ways. To the administration at Absolut at OP - If someone reads this do not comment back and give me a phone number to call like you have done with everybody else. I have said everything I needed to say and have nothing further to say. To families that are considering Absolut at OP - Please don't. Please don't send your loved one here, whether it is for long term care or short term rehab, PLEASE find a different facility. To the families that have a loved one at Absolut at OP - If at all possible, get them transferred to another nursing home. If that isn't possible try to be there as much as you can, demand answers from the staff, and don't settle for their generic answers. To New York State/Erie County - If anyone is reading this, please launch an unannounced inspection on this facility. Knowledge of such inspection allows them to prepare. This facility needs a slap in the face or should be shut down.

No one works there on the weekends. Found my loved one sitting in wet diaper no clothes on no gown! Call button on the floor. Called for help took over 45 minutes for response.

I was very upset when I recently went to visit my loved one in this Nursing Home. First As I walk in the door . I was not greeted and seen no staff, I was not required to sign in . I went on my way and walked around , The smell of urine and musty overwhelmed me, I seen no staff down the halls and cleaning people. I seen dirt and cobwebs on windows and dead bugs. At this point I was upset, I looked for some hand sanitizer . None . I think this place needs to be cleaned and remodeled . The rugs are soiled. I walked in to my loved ones bathroom and It was horrible . Looked like no one cleaned for awhile . Their was human waste it was presented . I fear the spread of disease. I wanted to put some fresh linen on my aunt bed no where no find. Maybe they are understaffed or just not doing their jobs , But no excuse for Neglect to the care of patients . They need a good state inspection.

The facility itself needs improvements. When I took my loved one to play bingo, they told me that the smell was disgusting. The people or rugs are not being taken care of. They did not like the food, it has poor quality and not many choices
