A Joyous Care Home Adult Family Home in Tacoma, WA
4.4

All home care facilities cost too much. I gave a 4 for overall experience because it is a new business still trying to work out some details. The owner of Joyous Care is very new and still learning the ropes. However, she learns quickly and is doing an outstanding job. She is caring, very conscientious, patient, and compassionate.

Had scheduled a tour with [name removed] the operator for a client, the home is beautiful and comfortable, the staff on site are friendly, compassionate and knowledgeable. The location tops it all, there's an outdoor area with great activities including gardening.

Titlow Adult Family Home in Tacoma, WA
5.0

Titlow Adult Family Home is very very clean, and everyone there is very friendly. The owner will go out of his way to ask our father if he needs or wants anything special and he will go out of his way to get it for our father. The lady who takes care of our father does a wonderful job, she is amazing. He has yet to complain, and even though this home does not have activities, they will still get the residents out walking and hang out on the deck when the weather is nice. We just had a really great feeling about this place and have never looked back.

What are care homes?

Residential care homes are houses in residential neighborhoods that are equipped, adapted, and staffed to care for a small number of residents, usually between two and 10. Like assisted living communities, staff at care homes typically help residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and medication management. Although residential care homes vary significantly depending on the community, services usually include:

  • Help with personal care
  • Medication management
  • Mobility assistance
  • Nutritious meals
  • Social activities and outings
