Fidelis Care III in Baton Rouge, LA
4.5

I was almost sold when I visited with the owners over the phone. They were knowledgeable, compassionate and professional. When I entered the house, it was clean and had a fun atmosphere. The perfect place to put my mom in. She's been there for about 4 months and on a recent visit to my home, I asked how thing were going and she had nothing but great stuff to say. That is very comforting since my mom has always said that she did not want to be put in a nursing home. This is a home up to 8 women, two care givers 24 hours a day and nurses that visit daily to check on the patients. Fabulous place.

House of Grace in Denham Springs, LA
5.0

Mom enjoys living at House of Grace. The caregivers are nice and treat her like family. They have good healthy food. They keep the home clean and I would recommend it. They have a game room available as well as they have people come in to play music and sing.

Despite seeming like it may live in the shadow of its bigger sibling New Orleans, Baton Rouge has a character and a charm much its own, especially appealing to those who don’t feel at home in a large urban area. As the state capital and home of Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge still has plenty of activities and goings-on that you might expect from a larger city, but without the hectic pace. Baton Rouge has also earned the distinction of being home to the largest shopping mall in Louisiana. The aptly named Mall of Louisiana is a two-story affair with over one hundred retailers, as well as a multiplex movie theater, and interestingly enough, the third-largest indoor carousel in the world.
