Assisted Living
The Waterford checked all the boxes for Mom. After living alone in her own home for 40 years, she didn't know how she'd adapt to community living. She did not want to walk long halls with confusing floor plans and elevators. The Waterford is small and a single story which has made her transition great! She enjoys the staff and the friendly atmosphere. It is a great place for her which she quickly considered her home!
The staff is really wonderful. The facility is gorgeous and they really do try to work with you; with finances and schedules and getting people in. They could improve on having a little more activities. My mom is in memory care, so it's different, but the activities are not bad or over-the-top, they're just good.
I'm grateful that the staff at Adelaide Place tries to take into consideration all the residents' preferences, even though it's not easy. I can hardly make my own family happy with a dinner choice because so many people like different things. My family member has received very good care there, and someone always calls me if there's a concern or something I need to be updated on. Look past the negative reviews and take the time to come and see for yourself.

This community type has a number of provisions pertaining to medication assistance. These provisions include when medication administration is not supervised by an RN, practitioner, or pharmacist, the CBRF must arrange for a pharmacist to package and label a resident’s prescription medications in unit dose, Residents may self-administer medications if they are capable, and If the medication administration is supervised by a licensed healthcare professionall, the community must ensure that these individuals coordinate the medication administration process and system. Staff members obtain education in a variety of areas. These areas include challenging behaviors, job responsibilities, community policies and procedures, and medication management. This type of community is required to offer a number of services. These include supervision, resident-specific services, leisure time activities, and including personal care.
