This community has a number of provisions concerning food and diet which include all food must be in accordance with the Department of Agriculture food pyramid and must provide three meals a day. There must be one bath or shower for every 1 residents and one toilet for every 1 residents. The minimum number of residents for this community type is 6. The maximum occupancy is 1 residents per room. Staff must receive training in a variety of fields. These include: infection control, abuse and reporting requirements, fire safety, and the values of community-based care. Before a resident is accepted, they must go through a service plan screening to make sure their needs are going to be met. This screening includes a number of areas of interest such as mental health evaluation, ADLs test, physical health exam, and risk indicator assessment.
