This screening includes a number of areas of interest such as A comprehensive written assessment that that describes prescribed treatments and medications that must be provided to the community prior to admission, service plan identifies the individual’s need for activities, service plan takes into account the preferences and competency of the resident, and service plan identifies the individual’s need for services. The minimum number of residents for this community type is 21. This community type has a number of provisions pertaining to medication assistance. These provisions include proper training of direct care workers to handle and administer medications, reminding a resident to maintain his/her medication schedule in accordance with the prescription, and medication supervision and administration. Staff members obtain education in a variety of fields. These include: containment of infectious disease, first-aid, staff training program based on the residents’ service plans, and personal care.
