We love the staff and living situation for my 2 elderly parents at Golden Orchard, Finding this lovely group home was a Blessing for us. My Dad and Mom are well taken care of in every way. Such a huge difference in how well my parents are doing in this very caring group home environment!. Food is great, staff is loving and helpful...my parent's feel so loved and cared for here. I highly recommend if you have elderly parent's or loved ones needing one on one special loving care as they go through the challenges of aging....check out Golden Orchard group homes you will be so happy that you did... Thank you for all you do,... [Name removed] (Daughter)

Juniper Village at Louisville

The staff always seems to be soft spoken and calm, creating a calming affect and atmosphere. They understand dementia and how to approach people with dementia. Good at knowing how to avoid upsetting the residents and at how to guide/slide the resident into doing important things. No or few activities, no " enrichment program" except for church services. This may be better lately- finally hired a new activities person. The residents do eat the food and it tastes ok but it's far from healthy. Meat is in the form of patties (who knows what's in them). Vegetables overcooked, or maybe canned. Regularly the vegetable/fruit served is the old fashioned canned fruit cocktail. During my visits, I've never seen a fresh fruit or vegetable. Nor salad. The resident's rooms can be a bit of a mess, though of course, the residents may be the main cause of this. A 1-2 minute visit by staff per day could address this (ex garbage on floor). Did a great job getting her ready for me to take her to an early eye doctor appt. Sometimes the staff doesn't answer my emails. Overall, I feel my family member is safe, warm, being fed. Has made friends! I will have her stay there. But for price, there are things that could and should be improved.

The Peaks at Old Laramie Trail Senior Living in Lafayette, CO
4.0

The Peaks at Old Laramie Trail Senior Living has very friendly and attentive staff. My mother's room is spacious and pleasant, with a large window. Friendly residents at all levels of function. Lots of fun, interactive activities are offered for the residents. Housekeeping is well done weekly, and is also readily available by request. The food is very good, with a wide selection on the menu. Moving in was a tough and complicated transition for my mother, but the staff stepped up graciously to handle everything. They continue to be responsive and caring as well as kind and accommodating. I've eaten lunch there with my mother in the dining. Its very nice and we have great conversations with the other residents. Sometimes we get a little "noisy" with laughter.
