King Place in Midland, ON
4.9 / 5.0

My brother and I re-searched various homes for our mother and found King Place to be the place that Mom would feel very comfortable in. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the director made us feel less stressful and was very helpful and still is. Mom loves it there. The food is wonderful and the choices are amazing. It is like a five star hotel with cloth napkins, nameplates, etc. I asked my mother if she was happy and she said yes. Therefore, if my mother is happy, then I am happy. It is always hard to place someone that has raised and loved you all these years, but the director made us feel at ease and comfortable. He and his staff went above and beyond our expectations.

Blue Mountain Manor in Stayner, ON
4.4 / 5.0

It's a very nice place, and very well kept. The staff are nice and very helpful to the residents. I would recommend it definitely. It's been difficult with Covid, but they're doing their best to keep the residents active and their brains stimulated while keeping them safe as well. I think they've done a really good job through all the negativity of Covid of keeping things positive and looking out for their residents. My loved ones were concerned about coming here, because they felt it would be institutional. I don't think they realized just how friendly and open it would be. It's more like senior living with some assistance, rather than what most people think of when they hear "assisted living." And both my loved ones were glad they made the move once they got here.
