Don't take anything unless you don't mind if it gets lost. Things tend to disappear. They don't have enough staff. I don't think the activities are that great. They say they take the residents to participate, but very rarely do I see my loved one participating. I think that ties back to understaffing. I think it's overpriced. You pay because it's pretty, but they don't do a whole lot for the money. It's not a terrible place. It's probably better than a lot of them. It's just overpriced.

The staff really provided my nephew and his wife the best possible support during my sister's passing. I can't say enough positive things about the staff's compassion and willingness to go beyond expectations. I hope that they are still in operation when and if I need a place.

Silver Creek and Arbors at Silver Creek in Joplin, MO
5.0

Silver Creek & Arbors has a super and sweet staff, the care is super, I just wish it was closer, but it is still a great location that is easy to get to. They have great outdoor spaces, there's plenty for my loved one to do, but she can also be in her room as well with the TV and computer. It's like her whole house is in one room! She has a phone she can use to call friends, and she is also able to call the staff quickly. She fell recently and within 3 minutes after falling, the staff was there, she couldn't believe how fast they were! The doctor even checked her out after she fell and started her on rehab for her knee, and the rehabilitation staff is great. As far as other things they keep track of her blood sugar 3 times a day, she bathes regularly, and is able to get her hair done, and was able to get things like a trim as needed. They know what they're doing there, and I think it's the best place she could possibly be in.

We were overall satisfied with the care they provided Mom and Dad. Two points of concern. First, the food is mediocre at best. They told us they had a chef on staff but the food was equivalent to a school...

Our experience thus far would indicate they've had some issues with staffing, leaving them short handed at times but overall care has been good. My folks are 95 and 94 years of age so activities are not...
