Memory Care
We chose The Oaks at Fairmount because I was looking for a long time and I was looking for one she could afford and we would not have to sell her house but was still nice. The Oaks fit the bill great. The room sizes are smaller and they do have shared bathrooms, but they have options depending on the mobility of the person, the better the room the more it costs. It is a smaller facility, maybe 30 residents and the owner and the administrative staff are very conscious of the furniture, it is really a nice place that has a homey feel. They decorate beautifully to match all of the seasons. One thing that they could improve on would be feeding residents' diabetic needs. I would absolutely recommend to others looking.
Amazing facility. Everyone is so nice and so professional. Our family finally has peace of mind knowing that our loved ones are receiving such great care. There was initial resistance to leaving their home of 30+ years but from the very first day they have been so happy. We are so grateful to the entire Royal Oaks team for providing loving care for the residents. The [name removed] family.
Sometimes the meals are good and there are a few times where they are not. During the month of October several residents had covid so all activities were canceled. It's been slow getting a full schedule of activities going again. The value is hard for me to rate the value because this is my first experience with any family member in an assisted living. My loved one entered the facility with several health challenges. Our loved one has made tremendous progress with regular meals, medicines being administered and activities/social interactions with others. With that being said - I would give it a 5 because it's been so beneficial for our loved one. He would say otherwise cause "it's not home". I would highly recommend The Fountains to other families!
