She stayed here for 2 years and loved it. The staff was friendly, there was always something for her to do, and it was not far away from my home in Kanata so I could visit her as often as I wished. Highly recommended!

The Royal Brock Retirement Living in Brockville, ON

I have nothing but good things to say about The Royal Brock Retirement Living. The facility is clean and well kept, and the staff do an incredible job. I would recommend them.

Royale Place Retirement Residence in Kingston, ON
4.2

The Good: This is a very attractive residence with great facilities and a diverse social program - a cruise ship on land. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. They seem to make a point of quickly learning each resident's name and take time to interact with and listen to them. I have also been impressed with the ethos around offering as close to a home-like experience as possible, including tea, coffee and goodies on constant tap. My mother-in-law's room overlooks Kingston's ever-busy Princess Street but the sound insulation is great and the noise does not disturb her sleep. Pricing relative to other facilities in the area is competitive. The Not So Good: My mother-in-law's only (though frequent) complaint has been with the calibre of the food (cold, tough, drowned in gravy). Recent staffing changes (July 2017) will hopefully result in much-needed improvements. I have observed some disconnect between the front desk and back office but this has been more of a minor irritant rather than a real problem.
